Everyone must still be in bed, and snoozing like these two cuties. I’m would love to join them as it’s cool and raining here. But I still have painting and stuff to do at the new house so heigh ho, heigh ho it’s time to get hubby out of bed and get going.
I slept super late today. And I don’t even care that much. I just had apple pie and cocoa for breakfast. Merry day-after-Christmas.
The kitty’s yawn and stretch are adorable! And when she tries to bury under the bun’s chin. 😊
Isn’t it unusual to have red eyes when you aren’t an albino bun?
My first bun, Shakespeare, had ruby eyes and she was much like this bun – a California Rex, at least in part. She was an amazing bun – didn’t have a perfect life but I did the best I could. I got her when she was older and the learning curve was rather steep at the time. So much more known about how to take care of pet rabs now.
Kitten and bunny have the right idea and since I refuse to participate in the bargain hunt mayhem that is of Boxing Day, today I will follow the example of this adorable duo and cuddle in bed with my cats and a good book.
I’m like that beautiful bun, worn out and needing to rest. I’m surprised the kitty isn’t more lively, guess too much holiday celebrations. But I’m already putting some decor away. Will pack more in the next few days and get the laundry done, house cleaned and back in order. When it’s over, I’m over it. When our one daughter visits, she brings her sweet Australian Cattle dog and it’s an energetic dog. Way more energy than I have.
Bunny and kitten snuggling together has turned me to mush. Kitten trying to stay awake while sitting up…..I love it when baby animals do that. Must. Not. Fall. Asleep. 😻
I too am not interested in the boxing day sales and crowds. I know many families make it a traditional foray and that’s great. But I would rather savor the personal visits at home. Especially if it is family you don’t see often!!
Kitty and Bun are certainly very cozy looking! We’re in the deep freeze here so if I was kitty I’d certainly be looking to crawl under big Bun’s chin!!
Happy Boxing Day everyone!!
Happy Boxing Day and Kwanzaa!
The nuzzlingks killed me. These two are so comfy with each other!
I overslept, which I probably needed because this weekend has not featured good sleeping. Only ran to the grocery store and car wash today. Now that the errands are done, I can check out new washers and dryers online–it’s time, people. My current ones are about 20 years old. I’ve put them through the wringer (see what I did there?) and it’s amazing they’ve lasted this long.
I’m calling matchingks.
So freaking cold here. Snow, arctic outflow winds. Power keeps flickering. Hubby called to work because of Boxing Day sales. Trying to keep place warm. Trying to figure out what to do with Duckie if power stays off. Have a pile of blankets and those hand warmers, and tons of those glow stick thingies. Will wrap myself around her cage if needed.
Stay warm. Stay safe. Stay dry.
