Jinkies, it’s Caturday — and this week’s visitor looks like a g-g-g-ghost! This cat, from reader Sowmya D., seems to be blending into the background to surreptitiously score some Scooby Snacks!

Even as ghosts, kitties still want their treats! πΈ
Love this amber and butterscotch colored kitty!
Hope there are no meddling kids around…
Oh wow – Nikolai Devinovich thanks you!
He and partner-in-crime Ekaterina Velikaya completely blend into our hardwood floors, teak tables, wooden cabinets… they have accepted the occasional inadvertent kick (!!) as the price of being able to sneak unseen into cupboards.

Being semi-invisible gives our kitteh overlords another advantage they do not even need!
Beautiful kitty, even as a gggggghost. Caramel is maybe my fave flavor. Or maybe it’s black licorice. Heck, I like kitties in all flavors.
Now that errands are done, I’m looking forward to a long chat with a dear friend as we both knit, spin, or do something else with yarn and fiber. Life has felt a little overwhelming lately, and we’ve known each other very well for over 20 years–she’ll help me put it all in perspective.
Nothing can happen quickly, at any rate. The debts are paid off but it will take a few months for my credit score to change. More time to mull things over and make decisions, right?
Hugs to you all. Hope you’re staying safe and warm.
Itβs sunny outside, and I am trying to resist the urge to curl up in a warm spot and sleep.
Iβm also trying to decided whether to go out for coffee with a friend, or stay home and go βunhβ.
Of course, I could go for coffee, get some kitty treats, and then come home and sit in the sun and hope a random kitty pops by for a visit. Even a ghost kitty would be welcome.
Duckie has started her spring moult early, and is a tiny feathered bundle of mixed emotions. I gave her a piece of cracker yesterday, and she happily ate it while screaming at me.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Quiet weekend here, it’s really too cold to go outside so I’m doing laundry.
My husband is still feeling some side effects of the third shot he got on Thursday evening. He got Pfizer the first two times and had no side effects at all but he got Moderna this time and has the classic sore arm and feeling a bit feverish but nothing serious. I’m getting my third shot on Monday, I had Moderna the first two times so I know what to expect.
Have a good weekend everyone and as my father used to say, be good and if you can’t be good, be careful.
It’s good to learn things so here’s a vocabulary lesson:
Did you mean anything by this? Because Duckie says she will not tolerate any inserting, removing or replacing of ducks.
No, just some new vocabulary I learned this week.
She will let you continue to exist.
Thank you. π¦
It’s been a noisy, dusty couple of days at the Shortcakery as the whole street is being dug up to lay new gas pipes. When I ventured forth onto the pavement this morning I was completely penned in by barriers and had to physically move one of them, only to find that a mini-earthmover was parked sideways on in the narrow road and there was barely enough room to walk round it (not for the first time I was thankful that we no longer have a car!) NO SMOKING signs are everywhere and I hope people take note, as a pungent smell of gas suggests that we are one carelessly discarded cig away from annihilation….
An explosion might be useful if you are penned in by “barristers”… don’t worry, just my brain trying to autocorrect…ππ€£
Hope that you all are staying warm, old man winter’s a little grumpy this week.
