    Good morning!

I know it’s Caturday, but it’s Puppy Bowl Weekend! Have some coffee

And it comes with a team bandana of your choice!

Penny is lovely, as always, whether she acknowledges us or not.

Oooh, choices. Love choices – disdainful but ever lovely Miss Penny or a cupful of puppy cuteness. I’ll take both. Also just checked all my coffee mugs and no puppies. 🥺😢

Hubby is finally home after three weeks out of town for work. I get him for a week and then he’s back on the road. So lots of running around this weekend and doing some stuff around the house. The sofa we have isn’t quite working in our new place so time to go shopping! Plus need a few other things for the house that were difficult or too big for me to haul home on the trolley. Off to breakfast now so enjoy the weekend everyone!

No puppies in my mugs, either. I would gladly trade my hot cocoa for that puppy!

They have some cute mugs in their store, too.

Love Miss Penny’s haughty indifference! Such gorgeous eyes. Next to Penny, yes, I am common rabble. 😸

    Good morning puppy is awwwdorable.

    Have a good weekend all!

Aggressive spring cleaning going on here. Have discovered marvellous way to get hubby to help. I simply put a box needing sorting on his recliner chair. He picks it up and puts it on his ottoman, and then sits down. Now he is comfy, and box is right in front of him, so he has no reason to not sort.
Hubby’s work situation might be changing. Again. Company hired an a$$ as site supervisor. Rest of employees contemplating mass quitting. I hope I’m there if/when it happens.
    Health situation is cautiously good.
Murray, Duckie has declared an all-out massacre on one of those clothes pegs you included in that box. I have it on one of the cage bars, so it moves back and forth as well as side to side. She doesn’t bite it. She “punches” it with her beak.
Had a false fire alarm this week. Got the building heaters rewired. The worker should have checked the front screens for dust before turning them on, as the heaters haven’t worked properly for weeks. He didn’t, and the hot dust set the heat/smoke detectors off. Most of the building evacuated. We were standing around, laughing, and someone behind me started smoking. (Rather rude, considering both the situation and his proximity.) Anyway, even though he was behind me, the smoke soon hit me, and I started coughing. After the damage done my lungs by both chronic pneumonia and this stupid disease I’m coping with, my cough is terrifyingly ugly. (Someone in the past declared that my cough sounded like a moose in heat.) Anyway, a few people freaked, thinking I had COVID. But most of the people group-glared at the smoker, and he slunk off to the other side of the road. I’ve said it before: people have the right to smoke if they want. They do not have the right to force their smoke on others.
Anyway, the fire department showed up, checked everything out, gave a fine to the building for a false alarm, (which was immediately passed on to the electrician), and left.
We have a few days of warm, sunny weather coming up. Looking forward to reading on the deck.
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone. Including you, Miss Penny.

Its funny how people think the smoke won’t bother you if it is outside. At our neighborhood coffee shop you can sit outside. A fellow who smokes seems to always be there the same time we are. But you can’t smoke in that area so he would hang out at the very border regardless of the wind direction. So one day we spoke to him and asked if he would consider the wind. He looked at us like “really, it bothers you from this distance”?? But he took our word for it and made every effort to make sure he was downwind after that.

Penny is gorgeous. What a stunner! She can ignore me forever as long as I get to look at her.

Happy Caturday, everybody! I’m indifferent to the Superb Owl except for the memes and the Puppy Bowl. At least I had the foresight to grocery shop today, instead of tomorrow.

As usual, I’m trying to get another project on the loom. Thought I had yarn and colors chosen, but I want to try something else before I wind the warp chains. Last week’s throw turned out spectacularly well and needs just a few finishing touches.

Beano’s cold is finally getting better. Poor baby snuffled and wheezed all week long!

Hugs to you all. Stay safe, healthy, and warm.

Oh yay sweet Beano…way to go. 💕

    • Emsthemonster February 12, 2022 / 2:36 pm

Great news about Beano, I’m glad to hear it.

    Since it’s almost Valentine’s Day…

Darn it, Allein! Chunky peanut butter hurts coming out the nose! And the jelly just made it even more gross!
      Most. Painful. Snerk. Ever.
      Still laughing, tho.

Glad that everyones having fairly good weekends and very few real issues from what I can tell. (ie – not an actual fire).

Heard that there was a football game on but was sitting with my father and country music strangely soothing to him. Need to catch up on the commercials.

Tomorrow is single awareness day, I will be sitting on an airplane heading home, for now, until I have to come back for the parental unit.

I watched the Puppy Bowl (Yay Team Fluff!) and have otherwise been watching stuff on youtube and not doing all the stuff I should be doing.

Thankfully the snow didn’t accumulate (I will have to brush off my car in the morning but the ground is clear) so I didn’t have to go outside.
