The Price Slasher looks grimly determined
Or determinedly grim.
I have a very similar chair in my living room, although it’s not quite as damaged as the one in the photo it’s getting there and my cats have vowed to vanquish it one day. LOL!!!
Felix and the chair are even color-coordinated with each other!
I had the same thought!
Does anyone know of any “cat proof” fabric for chairs? I thought we were buying furniture but they were scratching posts instead… maybe hardware cloth?
Chain mail slipcovers?
I need some of that!!!! One of the cats here has her front paws declawed (yeah, not by me and I’ve had to educate my friend on the horrors of declawing) but the other is a scratching fiend. There is a scratching post but he prefers the carpets and has started looking at the sofa.
I’ve looked at the toughest fabric available so I could reupholster cushions. It’s not guaranteed to stand up to cat claws. So I actually priced sisal mats too–thought I could upholster the outer side of one chair with it! Then I could swap out the mat when it needed to be replaced.
I have a IKEA sofa made of denim material (like jeans) and the cats haven’t touched it other than sleeping on it.
“My work here is done.”
Exactly
Damn-it! I want sound effects to go with this annihilation of the chair! We need a heavy-medal guitar accompaniment with the process! Thrash folks, thrash!
I would suggest Du Hast (in the original German, of course) or anything by the German metal band Rammstein. Metal always sounds heavier in German.
I’m thinking Judas Priest’s “The Ripper.”
