I couldn’t get all the 40 photos of the Ukrainian people with their pets, by no 15 I was sobbing. I’ve kept it together for the last few days but I’m now a total wreck and I have to go out later.
Of course I didn’t do that and I made it to #7 (little girl with her Chihuahua) before tearing up.

Iām sitting here doing the same. They didnāt mention the woman who stayed in place to look after her foster dogs – she was killed in a bombing. And thereās a 40 mile military convoy approaching. Madness, and all because of a twerp with an outsized, maniacal ego.š¤¬

Ukraine has endured centuries of oppression at this point at the hands of every conceivable flavor of tyrant. It’s incomprehensible.

Little white puffball brightens my day. Also, people, be sure to watch the pig. I found it last night and loved it. Mike sure pays attention to submissions!

Ukraine pictures are just heartbreaking but at least many people are taking their pets with them. So many times they’ve been forced to leave them behind or with a rescue group and hope they can get them out. Pregnant momma cat hit the jackpot with her rescuers. Love the names for her kittens. Blueberry the piggy is another one lucky animal living his best life. And so demanding! Those squeaks/squeals when he wants something cracked me up. Fluffy kitten warden gives me flashbacks to my minpin who also hated me leaving. Pairing squirrels and dinos left me scratching my head, it’s just a “huh?’ moment.
The squirrels and dinos are adorable! Especially funny because I’m reading A (Very) Short History of Life on Earth: 4.6 Billion Years in 12 Pithy Chapters by Henry Gee, and I just got out of the era of dinos and am getting into the rise of mammals.
Now to see if I can finish the book before it expires in 16 hours. (I’m on page 86 of 240, but of course that includes notes and stuff so it’s really only about 150 (though some of the notes are worth reading so I still have to check them which slows me down).

Love the photos of people fleeing with pet carriers in hand but they also make me upset.
More importantly, can we talk about the slippers on that kitten owner?

Might have to save that one for after work.
Yeah, me too.
Me three. š„š
