And finally: Shake It!
Arne shares Morty the Misfit, a special-needs chihuahua who prances everywhere.
The Cat Man of Aleppo is such a hero. Love the photos of his beautiful sanctuary.
Oreo and her kittens–squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Love Monty’s jaunty walk!
I follow Ernesto’s Sanctuary on facebook.
It’s a rainy day and Monty’s walk brightened it a little.
I love Morty he has the best silly walk, even better that John Cleese.
Rocco the rooster boosting business–weird and maybe disturbing, but good for him!
I adore the pika pix.
Louis Armstrong will do just fine, despite his worried look.
I love pikas! The pics were great and so was the article. I didn’t realize they were being that affected by climate change!
Also, Morty had me smiling with his dancing. That was the perfect song, too!
His rhythm is perfect!
Absolutely the perfect music for Morty’s fabulous dance moves!
At first, I thought the pika picture was of a lion!
Yes, it looks like a very kind lion at first sight!
My day is always better when I see Morty!
I’ve wondered what happened to the Cat Man of Aleppo. I’m glad to know he got out alive and was able to save some of the cats. Ernesto’s Sanctuary sounds great
Great set of links this morning. Lucky that Rocco the rooster wasn’t made into lunch and they set up a home for him. Oreo and her kittens had me awwing, such cuties!! Needed these links as I’m sooooo frustrated. Thought I had canceled all the utilities at the old place and just found out that the water (and possibly the electric) account is still active. Plus it took 2 days of calling and being placed on hold for hours before I actually got a human. Then they say they can’t find a record of me requesting turn-off on 1/31 so I’m on the hook for charges up to today! Still muttering choice words under my breath but now I got to go deal with the electric company. Does anyone have bail money just in case???
I’m right there with you in my own way. I’ve been going through hoops for weeks now with applications and bills, and while most of it has gone pretty smoothly, there was one major one where I was sent last-minute information while they imposed on me an unreasonable deadline to pay, putting me under threat of losing my insurance. The last three days have been in an endless loop trying to get essential software to communicate with an essential website—it’s the website’s company that is the hitch. Major changes were made recently, and the staff who interact with the public were not adequately prepared and trained. And these are not dummies, these staff members—they are smart, helpful people who were hung out to dry by upper-level types. I don’t think it occurred to anyone at the top to beta test with customers willing to volunteer before rolling out wholesale changes. I won’t bore you with details, but there have been other wrinkles as well …
I’m pretty much yesterday’s cat-with-head-on-fire on a daily basis these days.
It sounds hellish. I’m sorry. Of late I hesitate to do things, but things etc because I expect what you’re going through if something goes wrong.
The saddest part is that I’ve been undergoing weeks of severe stress, not because of *bad* things, but because of *good* things—that are all happening at the same time! So it’s hard to enjoy all the good bits, because my hair is on fire as I try to complete avalanches of paperwork and play, oh, I don’t know—Jenga? Tetris? Jigsaw puzzles?—with my calendar. The crush should start abating in a couple of weeks, and maybe then I’ll calm down and stop having nightmares every night.
Thank goodness for Teh Qte and Mike and all of you.
Forgot to mention I loooovve Morty and his prancing. Put a smile on my face this morning. I have a soft spot for prancing dogs, they just look so happy with life.
My aunt and cousin live in Slidell, LA. Will have to tell them to be on the lookout for the Popeye’s rooster! 🙂
Sorry for everybody who’s stressed–it’s so frustrating to get the runaround after being on hold for hours. Or to *want* to give helpful answers but you don’t know what they are!
Put Monty on repeat. Maybe that will help.
