Yes, I just had kittens, thanks for noticing! Why, of course you can sniff them! Who am I kidding, you’re going to anyway. (via Murray C.)

OMG that’s amazing! Mom is trying to hard to cover her kittens without making the huge dog mad or upset. Gently raising and moving the hind and fore legs, leaning forward, looking imploringly at Mom who finally intervenes by stroking both sides.
I know! I mean even if they’re normally friends I think that’s a bit insensitive. The cat seems upset/tense and trying to hide the babies. If she wasn’t nursing I don’t think I’d want to be that dog!
Poor mama cat awww!
Granted they may be friends but put the camera down now. And how does one know how a dog may act around the leetle baby kitties? The mama cat is trying to cover her babies with her leg and/or towel. To me, it’s no longer cute if an animal seems uncomfortable.
Aw, I want to give mama a hug. Doggie seems sweet and I’m sure they’re familiar with each other but I feel like this isn’t the best time for a meet and greet with the babies. They’re all very cute, though.
Putting “cute” music on this video doesn’t make it cute. Mama cat was stressed out trying to protect her newborns.
Poor sweet mama is trying to shield her babies, I’m sure the doggie is nice and just curious but I really don’t think mana is enjoying this encounter and if mama is not happy then it shouldn’t happen.
‘oh yes, please stick your big nose there. ‘
poor mama cat
I wonder if the dog smelled the milk. He didn’t seem to be able to stay away. “I SMELL food but I don’t SEE any food. What’s the deal?” But I agree that the cat didn’t know how to cope. It may have been an accidental claw snag, but I think she may even have been trying to pull the blanket over the kittens.
Yes, I too thought she was trying to pull the blanket up and moved her back leg to cover the babies. She looks so nervous and trapped cos she’s nursing.
I’m surprised that that mama didn’t put that dog in their place and I wouldn’t blame her if she turned around and got in that dog’s face to back off.
