Puffer, Puffer, Pass

Meet Some Dazed Drugged Dolphins

Dolphins, those sleek smiling cetaceans, are some of the cutest creatures in the sea, but we need to face an unpleasant fact: Dolphins can be jerks. In particular the young male dolphins, who form unruly street gangs that nibble on poisonous pufferfish to get high. At least they haven’t learned how to use spray paint — yet. (via Murray C.)

      Me, too. That’s just disturbing.

I’m glad they aren’t hurting the puffer fish, but still…teens!
I like how the rowdy boys get kicked out of mom’s pod! That must make things much smoother for the females.

And can you imagine the tales those puffer fish tell each other? “Dude, I was so freaked out! They just kept tossing me!” “When I was a youngster we got tossed 50 times a day, quit your complaining!”

Absolutely fascinating, but I felt so bad for the poor puffer fish!

Also I’ll listen to David Tennant anytime, on any subject.

Everything smart enough to connect cause to effect likes to get high, whether it’s pufferfish or fermented fruit.
