Rabbit tails aren’t the poofy cotton balls they appear to be; they can be several inches long, and the longest was over six inches! And they’re not just decorative, as these buns demonstrate.

I really thought rabbits had little cotton tails like Thumper, Disney lied to me!
I. want. those. precious, darling cute bun buns. I can tell they are lovingly spoiled, as they should be. And my favorite parts are the nose, cheeks, tail, ears and in between. I remember being surprised with my first bun’s tail. My bun buns would let me gently rub their tails and pull the shedding fur.
Very informative, never knew any of this but then again never gave much thought to a bun bun’s tail. Love the name Morty fora rabbit.
Very interesting. Their tails have important functions and are retracted, I guess to protect them.
Oh wow. Amazing. New info for me. 🐰🐇
I knew bunny tails weren’t cotton balls, but that’s about it. What beautiful gorgeous pampered buns! They’re living the life.
In case you missed it yesterday: I’m under contract for the condo! If everything proceeds as planned, I should be moving within the next six weeks. Gulp.
I live in a condo and LOVE it! No mowing, shoveling or raking!😜 You will love it!
Really looking forward to the lack of stairs (it’s an elevator building) and the up-to-date wiring too! The building is only 2 years old.
6 Rabbits, did you have your own home before?
Hubby and I are torn – can’t afford a large luxury condo – which would make the transition somewhat less painful ha ha – but need to downsize from our big house and yard.
I like Morty as a bun name. But my goodness Cinnamon Bun is perfect!
I lived in a “normal” house for 25 adult years. But when I started looking for a new house I finally saw this one and was enchanted! It only is joined to one neighbor and the dividing wall is great on noise! It has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a closet laundry—no downstairs trips!— and a living/dining/kitchen combo. Has a back concrete slab that many have upgraded into some kind of patio. Mine has a lot of plants due to last owners, but most just have a medium area under front window. No one is above one floor, tho most have basements, some finished. There are about 33 units, so it is not a large, overwhelming place. There is a monthly fee of $180 which takes care of yard care, snow and leaf removal and anything else our area needs. It really has been a great 8 years!
My new place is pretty similar, except it’s on the second floor of an elevator building. There’s a garage below me, the building staircase on one side, and a little private balcony. The builder is really good about using thick walls between units on all sides, so I’m not too concerned about neighbor noise. Will report back later, Dulcie!
I had wanted a townhouse or condo so I would never have to worry about outdoor stuff or even exterior building maintenance–that’s all covered by HOA fees. I would have to replace/fix things like the appliances, furnace, water heater but that’s easy compared, say, replacing the main sewer line or the roof.
Egg-ZACT-lee!
That does sound like the cat’s meow. I think it’s one of those scenarios where one should embrace the positive and not dwell on what one used to have.
When you’re ready to make this change, you’ll know. I’m not the sort of person who hangs out in the yard or on the deck, because the cats can’t join me. I may be able to screen in my little balcony, however.
The thing is, is that I have seen so much chaos in the lives of my family and friends’ families when “the big move” is left too late. We’re trying to follow our own advice so freely given to others in the past lol!
Terrific!
Yippee! Congratulations! Buying and moving is one the most exhilarating AND most exhaustive things I’ve ever done. You never know how much stuff you have until you move then you wonder how heck did you have it all stuffed in the house.
Having buns I knew this, but it was surprising when I had my first bun (in 1987!).
I don’t think those Disney artists had much exposure to real rabbits! I have had buns that let me touch their tail, but not my current one!😜
My fav part of buns has to be their their EARS! I love the the softness, and since all of my buns have loved to be massaged there, I’m good!
Oh, the Disney animators did their homework, you can count on that. Artistic license then applied.
Did you see the Disney show at the Metropolitan Museum ? They definitely knew their stuff. Seeing how they worked and especially how they gave inanimate objects life and personalities , dancing teacups, etc!
I see a lack of TAILS in those pics tho😉
I know Disney artists do their homework and am in awe at their work!
Oh, there are tails in a few. I see four or five.
