Wal-Co UltraMegaMart has recalled certain varieties of Feline Farms’ Cat-in-the-Box due to possible contamination by lettuce.
Well, it is called a bed of lettuce, Andrew Y.

I hope the possible lettuce contamination didn’t ruin a perfectly good cat. But I’d take my chances. I had to really look at the container. It has to be clear (?) but the picture looks odd, with the fur pattern, by not seeing the face and the odd placement of the paw. Or am I just not perceiving it correctly?
Are we sure there is only one cat in there?
My thoughts exactly! Different color fur, and looks a little high up to be in the box, almost like s/he’s laying on top of another cat. And like yesterday, guess my food is now their’s, not taking it back.
If you really zoom in on the photo, kitty has a little splotch of orange on the tip of one ear, so I think it’s more likely that she’s just what some call a “calitabby,” with both calico and tabby coloring (plus some white, given the one paw we can see). Also, I have one of those larger-sized pre-washed salad containers in my fridge right now, and I’m pretty sure you couldn’t fit more than one adult cat into it no matter how they were arranged. LOL
The source page is entitled “My cat fell asleep in my salad” so I’m assuming it’s only one cat.
Lettuce be thankful the recall is no worse.
