Opened the first link to the teeniest of murder mittens and had to lie down for a few minutes.

I like that that the mom was all excited about a seal in the house and woke up the kids to come see but the family’s cat was like “Oh hell no, I’m not sharing my space with that thing!” and went to hide at the neighbour’s.

Otters know how to party. I hope they invite me next time.

That other otter by the human’s legs looks like he wants his turn.

I know hey! They really look to be lovin’ it.
I can’t even watch it without getting a bit woozy!

Murder mittens with fluff silencers!

Love the murder mittens! And the spinning otters!😂

Angel the Zebu had a terrible start to life but has gotten to live with humans who have provided her with comfort, and love, and joy.
Spinning otters! Otters REALLY love to play.

I love Angel’s little teeth peeking out from her lip.

The murder mittens made me squee and scream simultaneously. Love the tiny models and the undomesticated ones the best.
It’s also great that declawing is much less of a thing. My very first cat, born in 1970, was declawed after we got him because nobody thought twice about it. My brother adopted two cats this year and at first was horrified that he *couldn’t* get them declawed, but I think now he’s come around. I was able to supply helpful hints that would save their furniture.

Now if we could just put and end to cutting off ears and tails. But that might be just me.

That otter is killing it. Love how he’s all over the person’s hand, begging to go again.

I had a gray tabby who loved this game. It was never enough for him.
His favourite spot on the floor was super shiny 🙂

I’ve known people whose cats loved being a bowling ball. Kitty would slide all the way down the hall and run back for more.
Duckie 🐥August 22, 2022 / 2:37 pm
Peeps, I feel like raking murder mittens across my scalp and face. I found out this weekend that my FIL hasn’t been told that he can’t go home. We’re going to tell him this afternoon. My heart is breaking.

This is so painful. I’m sorry for the whole family
KarAugust 22, 2022 / 3:47 pm
Ouch, that’s going to be hard.
Hopefully you can bring up some benefits such as more social activities or not having to deal with stuff to soften the blow.
DulcieAugust 22, 2022 / 4:39 pm
Oh no Duckie. How absolutely difficult. There’s never an easy way to do this. 💕

So sorry Duckie, never an easy task to tell people they need to be looked after. I get they love their independence and it’s hard to give that up. Had the same issue with my mom after a fall and a stroke. We gave her 2 choices – either she goes back to her senior appt with 24 hr nursing or she moves into assisted living down by my brother. As she was a pretty private person, she reluctantly agreed to option B. You might want to phrase it like that to your FIL – yes, you could go home but there would have to be nurses/aides around the clock or you move to this facility. Most people’s finances (even with gov’t assistance) can’t manage the first choice.

Sorry, Duckie. That won’t be an enjoyable conversation. I hope everything goes all right.

Sorry I know how hard that is, my husband had to go though it with his mother.

Just met Yakoo and was blown away. What an amazing dog and hoomin. Hurrah for special needs pups who find the perfect people.
Otter: “AGAIN!!!”
