I always look forward to wombat Wednesday and it never disappoints, I love little Issy.
Nolina is not as vocal as Teddy while eating her corn but she is just as cute.

Very cool to see NW Trek featured here- it’s about a 20 minute drive from my house and I’ve been going there since I was a kid! (I should have submitted this, but I’ve had a lot going on lately. More on that later, maybe in an open thread.)
During the height of the pandemic they had to close the park, so to recoup some of their lost income, they offered the chance for cars to drive through the free-roaming area that was normally only accessible as part of a tram ride that’s included with admission. We did it twice, and didn’t see quite as many animals as I had hoped, but just the novelty of being able to drive through it in our own car was worth the $. They had a lead and a follow car, to make sure everyone was safe and following the rules (there are wild bison, moose, elk, caribou, etc in the park) and they narrated it via a radio station so you could listen in your car.
I’d love to carry Issy around as I went about my day, probably wouldn’t get much done. If I was that sqwerl, and could choose being taken care of and being pampered verses fending for myself, I’d choose to stay with the hoomin. I didn’t realize porcupines could get so big and enjoyed hearing Nolina, munch on the corn. Good photos of the dogs.

Actually it looks like they’re still doing it- they must not be running trams yet for Covid safety reasons. https://www.nwtrek.org/visit/tours/wild-drive/
