I do declare, is it Caturday already? Gracious, how the time flies! And who do we have in the farmer’s market this morning? Why, it’s just the sweetest little ol’ peach, photographed by reader Susan R.! Mercy me!

Certainly looks like a haven to me!
Here’s a little musical interlude, with birdsong accompaniment.
Thank you Allein for the video, it’s a beautiful piece. Always loved Yo-yo Ma and his playing. From child prodigy to revered maestro, he’s just amazing.
Now Youtube is throwing Goat Rodeo Sessions videos into my sidebar. One of my favorites:
The colors and texture of kittehās fur, and the bodily curves, go perfectly with the colors, textures, and curves of the peaches

Such a cutie and matches the fruit perfectly. I’ll have a flat of peaches and this morsel togo, please.
Not much going on here, a few errands this morning and then I’m hunkering down for the weekend. We’re in the middle of a scorcher of a heat wave, going to hit 100 today then going to be upper 90’s/100’s for the next week. I think I’m just going to live in my pool for the next few days and text my husband when I need a drink refill, lol.
Yep that looks like a peachy keen heaven to me.
I have good news on the cat front, Minnie had her blood test yesterday to check if the medication that was prescribed for her overacting thyroid gland was the right dosage and her hormone level are back in the normal range altho she is on the higher side of normal.
She will be checked again in late December but for now we are continuing with the same medication and concentrating on trying to get her to put on some weigh.
I never had a cat live much past their 15th birthday, I loose them to cancer or complication from diabetes or some other horrible disease but Minnie will be 16 years old on October 19 I don’t want to jinks it and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it but it looks like she will break the 15 year curse š¤š¤
Hello, you darling morsel of peach fuzz.
Overly crazy week.
Our heat spell has finally broken, and it is delightfully cool today. I even thought of fall pjs.
FIL seems to be settling in his temporary placement. If it takes too long for him to get into the actual home we chose, we may decide itās better to leave him where he is. No point in shaking things up if heās comfortable.
My family is working on getting finances settled. We have reason to believe that my sistersā husbands may have thought that there would be financial benefits to marrying my sisters, and we are taking steps to disabuse them of that notion, both now and in the foreseeable future. If I hear either of them say again āyeah, but when your dad dies…ā, Iām going to unleash some Duckie fury, the likes of which they have never seen. Sorry. Ranting.
Hubby discovered a fire at work yesterday, and things got insane for several hours. It looks like The Bay department store is responsible, and this might put that particular store out of business. Fines, water damage and smoke damage. Unfortunately, that means more than fifty people would lose their jobs. I feel a need to do something, but I donāt know what.
I broke down Duckieās cage yesterday for cleaning, and my Smol One was extremely displeased. Her revenge was swift, as I forgot to turn the fan in the living room off, and when I moved her cage to access it, I caused a storm of tiny blue feathers that went everywhere!
Georgiana, Iām crossing my fingers for Minnie.
Have a relaxing weekend, everyone.
Happy Caturday, everyone! It’s great to hear that Minnie and Teller are on the mend, FILs are settling in, and people have good ways of coping with the heat if temps aren’t cooling off. AJ’s idea of turning her husband into a cabana boy sounds especially appealing.
Guess what I’m doing? Guess! Guess! I’m STILL UNPACKING. Friends are coming over this evening, and I wanted to have my new silk pants ready to show them, so they could help me hem, but first I have to find the grey thread that matches the silk. Another brilliant idea stymied by my chaotic condo. At least the sewing desk came in yesterday, and I got it put together with less than the usual hassle. I appreciate well-made cheap furniture! My last sewing desk came apart in the move, and it may have been a blessing in disguise.
Happy Caturday, everyone. If you’re enjoying the long weekend, happy Labor Day.
PS peachy kitty looks as appealing as those yummy fruits. What I wouldn’t give for a peach and raspberry tart right now–one of my favorite flavor combos.
I have one white peach and a big container of blueberries I need to eat…
mmmmmmmmmm Make me hungry, why don’t you!
