Happy Halloweekend, denizens of Cutetropolis! Who better to visit us today than a spooky black cat (an her not-quite-as-spooky sister) sent in by reader Georgiana Y., who adds:
Even though Storm and Skye do pretty much everything together Storm does like to relax in her bed by herself from time to time. As for Skye I can’t believe how fast she’s growing up.
Good morning..!
Have to do a little work this morning but this afternoon I have my godson’s birthday party (he’s 8!). Tomorrow is my work-from-home Sunday so I’ll be busy. Can’t believe it’s the end of another month.
I’m not a big Halloween person but I hope those who are have some spooky fun…
For Deb
Allein, your links today TOTALLY hit the mark! I’m dying with laughter.
Been saving a couple of them for this weekend. Yarn kitty I saw yesterday and thought of you.
Of course Storm likes to relax alone sometimesāeveryone needs some āmeā time! And Skye is gorgeous!
You crack me up Allein! The funniest thing about the Bernat cat is that s/he got in that by her/his self! I meanā¦why?
Why not?
Maybe Maru can explain it…
It’s like a Maru beer can corset.
Bonus photo this is how I found them this morning LOL!
Hot cross buds!
Yet again the obvious candidate for Prime Minister has been overlooked despite being popular, hard-working, and already living at 10 Downing Street. Yes, I’m referring to Larry the cat. Does anyone seriously think that Rishi Sunak is capable of chasing an urban fox away from the PM’s residence? I THINK NOT!
Another missed opportunity for Great Britain.
Maybe not Prime Minister but certainly the British equivalent of Defense Secretary.
To be fair, I think Larry had to assume the defense role because he did beat up the cat that belonged to the Foreign Office.
On an unrelated note, I don’t understand why the UK government still operates out of Downing Street buildings, which quite frankly look very small and are clearly very dumpy if they legitimately need cats to do pest control.
Buckingham Palace strikes me as the appropriate place for the UK government to operate out of. The royal family has plenty of other homes where they can live.
Such cute kitties, always loved a haus panther and a tabby too. Thanks Allein for the cartoons, they cracked me up. Great pic Georgiana of the cuddle puddle. I’ve got my own own cuddle puddle going on with me in the middle. They’re helping keep me warm as it’s a little cool this morning. Haircut this morning, a few errands, and then have a trunk or treat with the car club tonight. The cat Daddy movie mentioned in yesterday’s post is on my agenda tomorrow but we’ll see if I actually get there.
Itās The Weekend, with your host NotThatMikeTheOtherMike!
I will never get tired of looking at peopleās beautiful cats.
Spent the week prepping the place for winter: flannel bedding and pjs, weather film on the windows, etc. Hubby quitting part time job because mall wants him to put in more hours. The company he works for won a city award for inclusive employment. Iāve been hired by the mall for seasonal work. Covid booster gave me reeeeeally weird dreams. FIL doing ok. Duckie almost finished moulting. Iām planning to spend more time on writing.
We all sound busy.
Have a great weekend, and hopefully, for those of us who donāt like Halloweāen, it will be quiet.
I love all these pics of your babies, Georgiana. Skye is getting HUGE but no less lovely. They always grow out of that kitten stage too fast.
Allein must be spying on me because I’ve been cataloguing yarn for most of the day. Now I realize why I put it off for so long–I’ve got too much yarn! In fact, most of the stash is already catalogued; I’m just confirming what I’ve still got. Then I can filter for everything that isn’t confirmed and get it out of my Ravelry notebook.
Yes, I catalog a lot of things: projects, stash yarn and fiber, prospective projects, succulents. Yes, I enjoy spreadsheets and live on the border of OCD land. Why do you ask?
Happy Caturday and many hugs to everybody.
The colors of the fabrics Storm snd Skye lounge on complement their coloring.
Dropping in late to admire the beauteous Storm and Skye. They grow so fast! (An original thought by Yours Truly.)
