Uh…Teller doesn’t have a very welcoming face? Hope that is just the light or he’s groggy or something. Otherwise if I was Penny I’d make a strategic move!😁

      Penny does look concerned

I sense some hissiness may be forthcoming. However, if I had those two beauties in my home I would never get anything done. I would just look at them, sigh with adoration and ask, ” How may I serve you?”

Penny looks like she just got her floof done. Lovely.

I have no plans this weekend. Gonna try to do some chores and relax.

Teller definitely looks like he has nefarious plans in store for Penny.

The latest chapter on my life with cats.

Ever since we adopted the new cats they had been munching on some of our house plants especially Storm, the plants are not toxic to cats but they were starting to not look so good.
The plants were on a low metal stand and 2 days ago we decided to put the stand with the plants up on a folding table so they would not be so accessible. Yesterday we heard a crash and saw Storm running away, the stand and plants were on the floor, there was dirt everywhere and we spent on hour cleaning and repotting.
We decided to ditch the stand and put the plants directly on the table thinking it would be more stable. Nope! An hour later both the table and the plants were the floor and we had to go through the whole thing again!
So finally we gave up and the plants are now back on the low stand on the floor and Storm is welcome to much on them as much as she want, we’ll just get new plants when these look too terrible.

    Have a good weekend!

Such a cat owner thing to do, lol. I’d do the exact same thing. Its like with the dogs – I was getting annoyed that they were peeing on one area rug by the back door. Kept cleaning it but that was their rug for emergency bathroom breaks when no one was home. Finally gave up, removed the rug and put pee pads down. Everyone has been happy since then.

They were like “this is as close to outside as we can get without opposable thumbs!”😆

          🤣😂😅🤣 So true!

Good move AJ. Less stress for all concerned. I mean when you gotta go, you gotta go!

This is what we do when we love our pets. I completely understand and would have done the same.

Both gorgeous floof babies and it does look like Teller is up to something. Watch your back Miss Penny!

Gotta make everyone laugh. The saga of the A/C and heating system continues. I’ve been turning the heat on first thing in the AM just to take the chill out of the house but it never seemed to warm up and the system clicks off before it reached the temp I wanted. So had to get a tech out, and it seems my brand new air handler has a defective sensor. 🤦‍♀️ Replacement part is on order and hopefully it won’t take too long to schedule the repair. Thank goodness I live in SoCal and not Buffalo.

Appliances can make or break our world.

So true! Especially now when it’s sooo hard to get anyone to come fix things!

Teller looks ready to pounce! Penny’s little white mitts are killing me.

We had an exciting day yesterday. The vet came over to vaccinate all 4 boys. I was able to trap everybody in the bedroom but not the bathroom, so you can imagine what happened. Sevi didn’t hide but he didn’t love being examined. George was loudly unhappy. Scorpius had to be rustled out from under the bed, where he hid in a corner and promptly went (forgive the pun) catatonic. Covering his head does seem to make him more comfortable, though. Fred was the absolute worst: hid in a “box” in the cat tree, scratched the vet, and had to be vaccinated in that spot while I held a flashlight.

Everybody has to have a feline leukemia booster in 4 weeks. I have to tranquilize Fred and Scorpius beforehand, and the vet will actually sedate poor Fred. Fred is just so terrified of all other humans. I realized the other day that I’m the emotional support human for my cats.

Looking forward to the holiday next weekend. Love to you all.

Wow, vaccination was quite an adventure 🙂

I have 2 carriers, so I made 2 rounds to the vet with my cats. (He is not far from us, 7-8 mins of driving)
The 2 orange ones were yelling at the top of their lungs in the car and at the vet’s, but then they absolutely co-operated without even a hiss.

The 2 calicos seemed calm and silent, except they just flexed their muscles so as not to be taken out of the carrier, I had my fair share of wrestling with them 🙂

And love right back at you DebG for the kindness and care of the fur babies. 💕

  7. Duckie 🐥 November 19, 2022 / 11:14 am

    It’s Saturday, and I’m beat.
Penny and Teller, come over here. I have a foot heater and a fleece blanket on top of a down quilt waiting for you.
    Crazy busy today, so:
    Still doing laundry by hand
Boss offering me extra shifts next week
Filling last of upright freezer today
Ungrateful freezer removed chunk of big toenail with its door yesterday 🤯😱
    Duckie has discovered corn
    Duckie learning peekaboo
    Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.

Well Duckie, that certainly is a wide ranging bunch of activities!

Penny and Teller…such gorgeous floofs. As always!
