Someone’s in the Kitchen with Wombat

If you think your pets are pests in the kitchen, try living with Tonka the wombat. Last December, the Andara Wildlife Sanctuary took in little Tonka, who will soon be ready for release into the wild.

Love how she tries to encourage him to play with his stuffed toy but he’ll have none of that.

Looks like Tonka very much wants to climb into Mom’s pouch.

Gives new meaning to being underfoot. I really don’t know how she gets anything done. I’d just spend all day cuddling the lil tank.

My bun stands on his back feet and scratches and bats at my legs, just like this wombat! It is a desperate “feed me you’re late!” signal with my bun, so I’d guess this wombat thinks he needs food! Love how he finally beats up the toy☺️
