Ukrainian saves bats, cat needs to chat, rescued squirrel, and one bouncy wombat
Why a Ukrainian zoologist risked his life to save 1,000 bats from a bat collider

And finally: Bing! Boing! Zoom!
Murray C. brings us a wombat with the zoomies.
Great links! The Ukrainian zoologist is a hero – seems to be a lot of that in Ukraine. Forest is a lovely animal and the kittens he takes care of are lucky. TinTin is spectacular- it would be amazing to have such an athlete living with you.
Wombat is makin’ me dizzy…
Love the bat collider! Story reminded me of the woman who had 1600 bats in her attic to save them from the cold.

Both bat stories make me so happy bats are getting the care they need! I like how the rescuer in Houston called them “sweet”.😊 The collider sounded a bit ominous but turned out to be a very cool idea. Hope those rescuers stay safe during the war. (And phthffftt to the Russians for trying to incite violence by spreading lies about them!)
The zoomie wombat reminds me of bunnies I’ve had who have that type of zoomie. It’s like their movement switch malfunctions. Sometimes they look quite surprised!
Love the red squirrel story also. So glad he has such a good life! It’s amazing how they make those jumps! And his little harness is a super idea!😁
And Forest the cat is what every orphan deserves!
Forest and his foster kittens **sniff and squee at the same time**
Anton Vlashenko and his team are indeed awesome! I love the videos of them releasing the bats in the evening.
These posts this morning made me just go awww and big thank yous to all the rescuers!
Wombat with the zoomies reminds me of Valkyrie last night. She was zooming from the couch to the chair to the other couch to the floor to the kitchen, and back and forth for about 5-10 minutes. Reminded me of a pinball.
