Welcome to Caturday! We have cute photos plus a bonus video to get your weekend off to a great start. First, here’s Teller, from reader Muppet2171, enjoying everybody’s favorite website: “Caught him playing with my tablet, so I made him hold it up for me.”
And from reader Deb G., here’s a bonus video of her kitten enjoying a fascinating snowfall.
Lavender Tabby Brown loved our winter storm. I couldn’t get video of her actually batting at the snowflakes, but she did.
Deb G., I love the way you have plants in the window, but out of the way of cats! That is a cool shelf!
Teller is gorgeous as always, and showing how intelligent he is by his tablet choices!😁
Yes, the Floating Anti-Cat Plant Platform is ingenious – and both cats are gorgeous. This morning I noticed a small tuxedo cat sitting in the front window of the house next door, but all I got for my squeals of delight was an unblinking owl-like stare.
The end is in sight for the Shortcakery refurb (pause for happy dance). All the new furniture is here – although some of it needs to be assembled by a handyman – and I’ve found a plumber and electrician to do the next stage of the work. I’ll wait until that’s finished before having the internal and front doors replaced. Unfortunately the unsolicited carpet is still cluttering up the hall and preventing me from closing the living room door, but with any luck it will be collected next week.
“Floating Anti-Cat Plant Platform”😂
Those shelves live in all my windows! They hang from the wall just above the opening, so they provide a little privacy while giving the plants a lot of sun. I found them on Amazon and keep buying more because I keep buying plants.
Rainy Caturday…wish I was here:
What a cute leetle mouse-let! I want to be reading with him/her too!
Her name is Nadine; she’s an adventurous little lady.
I actually have three prints of her that are waiting to go up on the wall (my dad is going to bring his long level so we can place them evenly).
I finally had him come over yesterday and hang a shelf I’ve had sitting here for months. It was my mom’s like 50 years ago, had been in my aunt’s living room for decades, and my uncle moved to assisted living last year and my cousin asked if I wanted it when they sold the house. We put it where I had another shelf and moved that one to another spot.
A very cozy house! Also adorable.
Both cuties and I agree if cats want to be on our laps they should be helping out with the tablets (or books or newspapers). Also works with small dogs.
Another rainy weekend here. Luckily we’re having a break in the storm for the moment. So not much going on here, maybe a few errands then car club meeting tonight. Finally hired a landscaper to get the yards cleaned up. Hopefully rain will stop by Monday so they can get started. Now off to clean the kitchen and start organizing the office.
Teller obviously has great taste when it comes to surfing the web! And my gorgeous girl is famous on the Internet again! That was such a delightful day, watching her discover the snow.
I’m so glad for the weekend, even if we have to turn clocks forward tonight for DST. Work has been very busy. So I’ll do some chores, finish weaving the blankets on the loom, and start planning my balcony garden. The balcony is 10′ x 5′ and nearly 10′ high–space for lots of containers for veg, berries, herbs, and pollinator-attracting flowers. Container gardening suits me a lot better than a plot at work or at the community gardens. Fewer weeds and I can just open the door to snip a few chives.
Hope you all are well. Hugs.
It’s a grumpy weekend in Duckieville.
Wish I were a cat.
Grumpy cats are all the rage Ducky. Post a selfie please!
Teller is as handsome as ever and I’m glad Lavender is enjoying watching the snow.
Glad your refurbishing is coming to an end Alice Shortcake.
Everyone is allowed to be grumpy once in a while Duckie.
Today’s beautiful kitties have great taste in websites and weather.
My sweet Felix was dancing on my nerves all through the week. I have had a few mischievous cats but he is really one of a kind.
He stole a potato and then pawed it deep inside under the kitchen cabinet where I cannot reach it… When i was trying to reach it with a broomstick, he was looking at me with whackadoodle eyes and purred long enough to turn me into mush.
Then he went to greet the neighbours’ geese. That wasn’t the best idea, 10 angry geese were chasing him… Instead of learning from it, my sweet, dumb kitty went back for more the next day. I’m raising a furry lil’ adrenaline junkie.
Oh Felix.
I’m lucky that Lav is so very mellow.
Loved the joyous discovery of SNOW!
