Happy Caturday! Today is Earth Day, and today’s visitor, sent by reader N. Fritz, shows his love for nature by planting something in the backyard: himself.
Here is Mutz (rhymes with “puts”) doing what Mutz does best: in spring he plants himself in this shallow bowl and luxuriates in the sun.
Yes, it is indeed compulsory for someone to say “Aww, big stretch”. Failure to do so may result in ill-defined yet oddly disturbing penalties.
The Shortcakery is approaching completion, although the handyman didn’t have time to complete all the tasks I was hoping to get finished on Monday. I still haven’t found a carpenter and am resigned to putting the door replacement job on hold until next year.
Last night I went to see a one-man show about P G Wodehouse at my local theatre, and have booked for a Christmas treat in London – the RSC’s adaptation of “My Neighbour Totoro” at the Barbican Centre. I used to be a regular patron there back in the 80s and early 90s when I lived within easy travelling distance of London, but I haven’t been back since 2005.
What a cute cat! Love the “stretch initiated”!
Stretching is vital for successful germination!
Handsome as ever Mr. Mutz! Reminds me of me in the morning trying to get all the kinks out before starting the day.
It’s official, Mother Nature has lost her mind. We were cool and drizzly at the beginning of the week, and now today it’s going to be sunny and 90 degrees. 😱🥵🥵 My poor system has whiplash from this sudden turnaround plus sinuses have gone haywire.. Running errands today, maybe get the dogs out to the park while it’s still cool. Hubby is volunteering at the fancy smancy Concourse D’Elegance car show tomorrow so I have a whole day for me, time to go shopping for some new shoes and summer clothes. Enjoy the weekend everyone!
Jealous. Beautiful Mutz has sunshine.
Quiet day in Duckieville. Cold, damp. Perfect day for going back to bed, but Smol One will be hanging off her cage door and shrieking at me if I do.
Have a good weekend, everyone.
Mutz is so smart! And so handsome!
AJ, weather here has been the opposite of yours. I planted stuff on my balcony last weekend because it was so warm. Last night, we had a little snow. I’m dubious that the new plants will survive.
Rotten week–well, mostly sad–is now over. Hoping to refresh myself over the weekend by starting new weaving and knitting projects.
Hugs to you all.
Hugs right back to you Deb.
How lovely to see sweet Mutz again.
Does Mutz give stretching lessons? I took a few walks and did another short workout twice earlier in the week and my ankles/calves are bothering me.
Slept in this morning. Not in a good brain space lately.
This guy reminds me of the kitty from yesterday’s links.
EEEKKKKK. So very cute. Much like yesterday’s kitten.
Oh my goodness. Twinsie to kitty yesterday. Good thing I’m not doing anything today because I am done after watching that.
That ear-activating nose!
Starting to think I have a pinched nerve or something…started with my ankle but feeling it in my thigh since last night, too..
Anyone else having weirdness with WordPress lately? When I confirm subscription to comments on a post, it updates and shows me my list, but I can’t delete old ones anymore. There’s a “log in” link at the top right, which suggests I am not logged in, but when I click it I just get a blank page and nothing happens…not a big deal but I like to clean it up every couple weeks or so (by the time a thread moves past the first page it’s generally locked for commenting, anyway). Tried in both Edge and Chrome and got the same thing.
I went to Log in and I had to fill in my email address and then go to email and click on the link to get in. I can delete stuff by clicking the 3 dots at the right. Hope that helps!
I get the three dots and an unfollow comments option but it doesn’t actually do anything. Just says “Sorry, no posts match %s.”
Just tried resetting my wordpress password but that didn’t help.
Weird.🤔 The same thing happened to me when I just tried it.
But you are much better at computers than I am, so I don’t think I’m able to help.☹️
I have not posted lately because my back and sciatic nerve still hurts and I’m in a fowl mood because of the pain. I saw my doctor on Thursday, she sent me for x-rays and prescribed a strong anti-inflammatory, it helps but it’s making me very tired, I also have a muscle relaxant to take before bed to help me sleep. She also prescribed hydromorphone which is an opioid pain medication, I bought it with the other medication but I’m too afraid to use it.
I’m sorry. It sounds hellish
Can you split the hydromorphone in two? That way you could see how you react to a smaller dose. Crossing my fingers for you🤞🏽💕
Okay, checked online and that IS a scary-sounding medication! However you have some extreme pain going on. Don’t split it if it is an extended release tablet. Take it for the first time around someone who could help if it causes you trouble.
🙏🏻 Praying
Mutz sends his love ❤️ and a big stretch from Vienna 🎡!
