I wondered if the original description was something different, but no, this appears to be exactly right…
“My son’s cat likes to wait at the top of the stairs and swipe at the top of your head as you walk by. This morning he was anxiously waiting on me.”
When it said “associates” I expected minions!
I was expecting a litter of kittens, maybe.
I think it meant the murder mittens, or the claws on the murder mittens.
Or maybe toebeans.

I volunteer to do stealth ninja mode and get rid of all those signs. And I’ll take my chances against kitty. I have plenty of experience dodging my older brother who used to pull this same maneuver.
