Monster Mop Madness

The Girl with the Dogs gets a very hairy customer: A Tibetan mastiff with as much hair as a yak and an amazing international rescue story as well.

It’s to bad she had to shave him but I’m sure he felt a lot better without all those mats pulling on his skin poor baby.

Youtube has starting suggesting her videos to me because of this site! I was watching this one at lunch.

All that matted fur coming off in a piece big enough to make a furry boa for her to wear was amazing (though sad for the dog). And all that hosing down and he was still dry underneath.

Five hours to groom one dog. This is why I won’t have long-haired animals. We used to just plunk Pablo in the kitchen sink (more of a shower than a bath) and it took ten minutes. And he’d quick-dry on his own without needing a blow dryer (though we tried it once to see how he would react; he didn’t like it…we didn’t have her happy hood, though; he did enjoy a good rubdown with a towel).

What an amazing story! Went to the web site to hear about this adventure and these people are Angels for rescuing this dog so far from home. The amount of fur shaved off is nearly unbelievable!😳 And that wasn’t his first shave-off either. Highly recommend listening to the 7 min story.
