In the summer weather, that would not be fun, but in winter…natch!😉

After the relatively good, non-humid weather, we are now at the heavy humidity this area usually gets during the summer.😢 I had to turn on the air yesterday, dang it.
Hope everyone else has humidity less than 50%.🙄 It’s 75% humid here.

I wouldn’t be able to leave such cuties either. Too bad you can’t scoop them up and bring them with you to work.

97% humidity here but the temperature is only 55 degrees F so it’s manageable. So far our summer has been cool and mostly grey. We’ve had some sunny days in the 70s recently which is nice. I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop once July hits and suddenly we’re roasting.

Haircut later today plus some errands and yard work over the weekend. Finding out that once you’re a homeowner, the to-do list never gets shorter. Have a good weekend and enjoy the hopefully good summer weather in your area.

Why yes, yes of course – you had no choice but to be late to work.

Speaking of excuses to be late to work: I had a colleague who was late to a meeting once, because his “chicken was constipated.” This colleague, whom I liked, was a very serious fellow and was offended when I burst out laughing. “Its a very serious condition!” It took a little bit of gentle ribbing to get him to come around to see my point of view: if you don’t own/raise chickens yourself – you wouldn’t know anything about chickens being constipated. The chicken was fine, by the way.

    Happy weekend all!

      I’m picturing a very wee chicken enema…

If I was your boss Squiddy I would totally understand you missing a meeting because you didn’t want to disturb your fur babies. Unfortunately that excuse only works if the boss is an animal lover which mine was not.

70% humidity here and the temperature has been in the high 80F or 30C all week and I don’t have central air conditioning. My cats don’t seem to mind that it’s hot and humid but I hate it, thank goodness I have air conditioning in the bedroom!

Wishing everyone who needs them cool breezes.

Squiddy, I’m in the same boat with cuddly kitties. Yours are much too sweet to disturb! (My boys all piled on me at 7 am this morning, which was wonderful.) On the days I work from home, if there’s an online meeting, my coworkers often see Lavender’s ears or her paws as she sits on my lap.

We’ve had more rain in June here–13 inches–than we had for the whole year of 2022. It’s finally stopped, and it’s getting warmer, but Colorado almost never gets humid. My sympathies to everyone dealing with hot humid climes.

Next weekend, we have Monday and Tuesday off for 4th of July. A 4-day weekend always feels like a vacation for me! So this weekend, I’m prepping projects: cutting out window treatments, testing warp colors, etc. I need to get something on my new loom!

Hugs to you all. Take it easy in the heat.

I don’t even see a human – it’s cats all the way down

I wish I had that excuse for being late to something.
This week I had to contend with: hubby having to put the family on caution re FIL, discovering Duckie making love to hubby and vice versa, Visa bill from hell, June-uary going to June overnight, proposed ending to bus strike NOT happening, and diverse family issues. My mental health is 🤪, and I just wish we could get a break.
    Have a good weekend, everyone.

      Prayers, Duckie. Hang in there.

Enjoying the new kitty, here! I’m trying to figure out how to submit a pic. I was worried that she wouldn’t get on with the resident cat, who’s been an only cat since last October. Fortunately, they’re warming to each other nicely. Not curling up together, but eating nearby just fine.

Go to the very top of the page and click on “Send me stuff.”

That’s definitely progress! Have you decided on a name for new kitty?

“Scattered thunderstorms” predicted for the rest of the day…it’s 80 degrees and blue sky and fluffy clouds right now, though.

I slept until 1:00. Not a great start to the weekend.

I’m sitting in my living room with no lights on (except what little comes in from the kitchen) and it has been getting darker and darker. It’s 4pm and from the light level inside it feels more like 8pm…

      • Georgiana June 24, 2023 / 4:24 pm

        That sounds a bit scary

        • allein 🐾 June 24, 2023 / 4:36 pm

Nothing came of it…it’s brightening up again.

And just as I was typing that sentence I heard thunder. Make up your mind, Storm. I need to go out; my mom’s making meatloaf.
