When I was in high school, my brother and his friends rescued a tiny black kitten at July 4th fireworks (I have no idea how they even saw the little baby in the dark with all the traffic! It was probably only a couple months old). He brought it home and the dog (mini Schnauzer) was terrified of it. And it stole her bed!
(We kept him for several days until someone my brother worked with adopted him. My dad wouldn’t let us keep him. Because he “hates” cats.)

I might be in the minority but I think rats are cute and a naked rat is even cuter!
The only problem I have with pet rats is they only live for about 2 years and I couldn’t deal with loosing a pet every 2 years.

i was quite surprised how they cared for each other. Had no idea that rats were good in communal living.

I have a rodent phobia but just loved little Sweets. Imagine having a nekkid rat and a Sphynx cat at the same time–you’d always be washing them and then dressing them in sweaters.

Still deciding if rat is cute but love how he’s a momma’s boy giving her kisses. Miss Penny went on a adventure, hope she finds the purrfect home after all she’s been through. That’s a true cattle dog helping out with the calf. Pittie cracked me up being so scared of the lil kitten. Maybe he was worried about hurting it by stepping or rolling on it. But resistance is futile – glad he gave in to the fluff.

Rats make amazing pets! They interact with you, can learn tricks etc. I’ve had one rat and the only bad thing was she died too soon, they only live around 2 years☹️ If rats lived longer I’d have one again. But it’s just too short.
Hairless mama’s rat, pittie raises kittens, interstate stowaway, and heifer gets a bottle.
