Cartoon Stars of Yesteryear

Audiences of the 1930’s roared at the frantic antics of Calamity Cat, as the ill-fated feline got knocked dizzy by an endless array of falling objects, each time surrounded by chirping birds. It was tiring work for cat and bird alike, as demonstrated in this rare footage of the actors between takes.

I tawt I taw a puddy tat, Andrew Y.

I think Calamity Cat is based on every cartoon cat whoever got clobbered in a chase.

Always amazed to see animals that are typically enemies, actually get along when the issues of food are taken care of!
