1. Hamster certainly has a lot of stuff to play with👍🏼
2. What are the beautiful flowers we see in a circle out the window?
3. What is poor little spiky girl’s name?
Happy weekend everyone. We have massive fog here, down to the bushes! Glad I don’t have to drive.
I’m wondering if those flowers are liriope. Not sure… But could be…
Good morning Hamster and Little Duckie!!!
Found something for Blue Footed Booby…

Snort! As someone who was raised by bird-watching parents, those are hilarious.
I also had something for BFB, so I’ll just drop it here:
Fantastic. Reminds me of an episode of Northern Exposure where two characters were going birding. The wife of one told them to watch out for those t*ts.
Deb –
One of my facebook friends just posted this:
WARP drive is used by the starships.
WEFT drive is used by the shuttles.
(I love you if you get this.)
I love it! And it’s appropriate for the distance, although maybe not for the speed? Those shuttles can move pretty fast over their short distance. The non-starship “warp drive” is more of a continuous, slow pace.
Exactly right!
I feel lazy just like Hamster this morning just not as cute. Also I’m glad I’m not the only one that has a house that that looks lived-in.
Sharon G, I don’t know a lot or anything at all really about birds so can you tell me why you call your bird “my poor little spiky girl.” ? What is wrong with her?
If I recall correctly, she molted recently and now her feathers are growing back.
Such lovely babies. I love seeing everyone else’s pets. Busy weekend running errands and doing crafty projects. Still building the Lego Hocus Pocus house like this

Almost 2500 pieces and I’m about half done. Then since I couldn’t find any day number magnets for my my whiteboard calendar that I liked, I’m making my own. Downloaded some pictures, found a build your own magnet kit and an hour later (or so) I’ll have just what I want. Happy fall and hope it’s cool whereyou are.
Wow!
I learned recently that WeRateDogs has a jigsaw puzzle! I might have to get it for my parents for Christmas.
Another rainy Caturday here, around 60F right now.
My Little Duckie made it on to Cutetropolis again!
Yes, she’s finished her moult and is growing her new feathers in. That’s why she’s so spiky.
She’s back to singing, playing and being unbearably cute again.
I noticed that the Hamster Cat video is on a “Cutetropolis” YouTube channel.
Mike – I think that’s a great idea to have a YouTube channel for the videos you share on the site. Great way to (hopefully) generate some income and spread the cute.
Happy weekend, all!
After a couple of wet days in Yorkshire a last burst of unseasonably warm weather was forecast for Friday. I was unable to resist the call of Whitby and spent another lovely day there – it was a bit windy at times, particularly on the clifftop near the ruined Abbey, but gloriously sunny and still warm enough to paddle (and even swim, but only a couple of people were risking it). I spent an hour or so in Pannett Park and befriended a curious squirrel which sat next to me on a bench and came close enough for a tentative nose boop!
That sounds lovely.
In medieval England, the abbess of Whitby was an influential position (if memory serves). Rievaulx Abbey is one of my all-time faves.
Abbess, later Saint, Hilda of Whitby was also famous for turning snakes into ammonites…
Wet days nothing, you should have been in NYC! We lost a full day of rehearsal owing to flooding and had to cancel our first preview.
Happy to see the handsome Hamster and “Spiky Girl” — although the photo does not reveal much in the way of spikiness, just a pretty bird.
Hamster! And Lil Duckie! What a double treat!
I’ve got an uncharacteristically busy and social day: oil change, friends coming over for early dinner, then we all go to a concert. The housework is done and I’ve got an hour to ply yarn before I leave for the dealership. I keep telling myself, it’s good to break out of my routine, even though I won’t get a nap.
