Happy Caturday and welcome to the open thread! Today we’re wrapping up Nosevember a little late, but since reader Tara O. sent this photo three days ago it’s legal.
The tongue out Tuesday snap reminded me I recently took this photo of Butch’s snoot. Just in case you need one more Nosevember pic.
Boop! on the little pink snoot. Adorable!
Yes,I DO want to!*boop* That is a very adorable photo.
I would have to cuddle such a cute pile o’ fur!💕
Boop boop de boop. So handsome too!
Boop the snoot? Don’t mind if I do!
Snoot-boopers unite! In an orderly queue!
There has been no snow in York yet but winter is here with a vengeance – I was absolutely frozen last night, even though I rarely feel the cold much once I’m safely under the duvet. I hope my hotel room in Canterbury will be well-heated next week.
As I’ve mentioned before, my local park has a themed display of wickerwork figures in summer and for Christmas. This year it’s “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”. Jadis, the children, Aslan, the Beavers and Mr Tumnus are all represented. I was amused to see that Jadis’ animal companions, a dragon and a giant corgi, are recycled from the coronation display! For some reason Mr Tumnus has been given a long tail like a lion’s instead of a goat’s, a mistake that could easily be rectified with a pair of pliers…
On the domestic front, I’ve finally made curtains to hide the gas meter and the doorless cupboard under the stairs. All I need now is a dry day to finish painting the new gateposts and I’m all set for a lazy Christmas! I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since my dad died, nor can I believe how much work I’ve done on the house.
Oh oh pictures please of the LWW display–I love those books! Always winter and never Christmas!
Your work on the house has been impressive. I’m sure it helped you cope with losing your dad, though we never stop missing our loved ones.
I’ll try to get some photos tomorrow!
Neither can I! Totally amazed at all you’ve shared with us.👏🏼
Yes, I booped it.
Woke up this morning humming, “Everything’s gonna be all right, rockabye, rockabye.” Haven’t felt this optimistic in a long while, so, as my weekend thought for everyone, everything’s gonna be all right, for everyone.
What has caused this burst of optimism and fo do I need a prescription?
No idea, but I’m dispensing it to all.
I just gave notice at my mall job. Too hard for me. Still feeling optimism.
☺️👍🏼
If Mike says something is legal, it’s legal. 😊
Super cute kitty- and, of course I want to boop it!
Been trying to shake a nasty cold all week, but I finally slept last night! Hope everyone is well and has a great weekend!
Hope you recover soon! I still get coughing fits from my cold a month ago.
I did wanna boop it. BOOP!
Bubble-gum boop!
Hope you feel better soon, Dana. Maybe Duckie’s optimistic outlook will mean better days ahead for everyone.
Alice…you don’t have a young wizard living in that cupboard, do you?
Hey, Deb, I found something for you.
Heh heh that will work with my faux crocs too! Thanks for thinking of me!
Everybody, I did chime in on the Girl With Dogs furnado post, including links to photos of unspun wool.
Your link asked us to log in.
That’s weird–I made it public.

Tulip is ADORABLE.
She really is. I want one of those plushies now.
I had to look at the photo for a while to see how Butch had positioned himself. BOOP!
Ran errands this morning, so I’m late to Caturday. Now I can settle down to warp my loom! Hope you’re all enjoying a wonderful weekend.
Awwww – Thanks Mike! Butchie’s snoot made it to Cutetropolis after all. ❤️ It’s so dang cute – I have gazillions of pics of it. Thanks to everyone who booped the virtual snoot.🥰
I’m late to the party because I was vending at the Philadelphia Free Library’s Book Arts Fair. Made a little bit of money and saw a LOT of people I haven’t seen since way pre-pandemic. It was a very nice and busy day.
Alice, congrats on nearing the finish line!
Dana – (and DebG) I hope you both kick this cold soon!
Allein and the cupboard under the stairs? – my thoughts exactly.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
What were you selling? Things you had knitted?
