    That does look like fun!

(Well, except for the whole being underwater and breathing from a tank thing.)

My attitude exactly. But still, I want to play with a little octopus so badly!

I think that’s the equivalent of rubbing a puppy tummy.

I was just going to say it reminded me of a puppy playing! Sea puppies!!!!

They are puppies and can get up to mayhem.

My favorite octopus story is that of Otto, from Germany. https://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=96476905

Otto was annoyed by the bright lights in the aquarium being on all night, so he would squirt water at the fixture until it short circuited. Every night.

When I was a little girl, one of my favorite books was Tomi Ungerer’s Emile: The Helpful Octopus. I can’t find it on my shelves now; I think it must have disintegrated. Now I haz a smol sad. But the playful octopus is so sweet!

Thank you!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐ŸผI found this but for some reason Iโ€™m not allowed to copy and pasteโ˜น๏ธ

Thank you, Duckie! I’m glad to see the book is still in print and available. I wish I could remember what happened to my original, though. My Babar is missing as well. I suspect they simply fell apart and I made the sensible decision to part with the parts; but it bothers me that I don’t remember. The books I’ve had the longest are the hardest ones to say goodbye to.

Octopus says “Can’t catch me! Can’t catch me! oooh it tickles.” What a cutie.

They are very smart and have a rich life. This is a BBC documentary of a guy who had a pet octopus in his house. They watch tv, dream, and goof around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnZ9wF-Bv1w
