Came home with some nasty non-covid-sniffles-sore-throat-achey-yuckiness and have just spent the weekend in bed with my sweet furbabies. This was best 1.5 hours (or whatever) I’ve spent all day. Highlights: the whalesharks (2 of them!) the guy with the new baby and the couch hippo who kept grinning at him, blue healers, chirpy birdies, and kitties getting into mischief. ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing amounts of cute out there. There was a story today in the NYT about 300 or so cats in a Chilean prison who keep the rats in check and have converted the prisoner population into staff. The prisoners feed and cuddle and groom the cats and even take a cat home when released. Cats are amazing
I read that article too and it was a real feel good story. Cats (or any other animal) provide a connection and helps the prisoners feel more human.
