I went strait to the capybara video and I was not disappointed, I would love to go to Tokyo and experience doing a Lady and the Tramp with a capybara!

I wish the prison cats had proper vet care at the prison, but glad some get to go home with their people. I wonder if keeping a cat when they’re released makes them less likely to commit another crime so they don’t end up abandoning their cat at home.

I’ll bet it does. If they care enough to take the cat with them, they would be likely to consider that.

Why do we not have a Capybara Café??
DEBGJanuary 2, 2024 / 12:46 pm
Exactly. Japan makes all the best stuff. (pouts)

Ditto – a Capybara Cafe?! Need to book that flight Right. Now. Probably my only chance to interact with ROUSes.
Wonderful links today. It’s amazing how often animals make a difference for prisoners. There are those wonderful dog training programs in prisons here in the US that also make an impact.
It’s sunny in Philadelphia today, yay! And I took the week off – so I think I’ll write my thank you notes and then wander down to the post office and grocery store for Chicken soup ingredients. For some reason, I’m also craving alphabet pasta – or maybe even stars…

Are you feeling better?

Thanks for asking DebG! Yes, I am. Not 100%, but getting there…
Duckie 🐥January 2, 2024 / 11:51 am
Darwin squeezed my heart. I wish I’d been able to have Duckie here for those first five months. I’m sure we’d have a relationship like that.
Feeling better.

Understand about Darwin–he’s simply amazing. Glad you’re on the mend.

Booba has stolen my heart. What a sweet boy. Darwin has also made me very happy. Chilean prison cats will hopefully get all the care they need–it’s great that the Humane Society did a TNR for them.
