Dachshund realizing he’s going to grandmas house is priceless.

The first time I ever heard of a bush baby was in the movie 2001 when at the beginning the scientist calls home and ask his daughter what she wants as a present and she says “a bush baby”. Since I had never heard of them I thought she was asking for a human aboriginal baby and I was very confused, which was not the only time I was confused watching that movie for the first time. LOL!

My late dog Scamp never displayed any desire to become an astronaut, but he did cause much amusement at Lyme Regis by attempting to jump onto the Cobb instead of using the steps…

Friends, many years ago I promised myself that the first thing I’d do on my 64th birthday would be to listen to a certain song from the Beatles’ “Sargeant Pepper” album. Today is that day and I’ve fulfilled my promise. On the whole I don’t feel much older than 40 until I remember that two of my grandparents were born in the nineteenth century!

Alice, just for the record, we do need you, and we will feed you, no matter how young you are.

Many happy returns of the day! Sometimes I look in the mirror and go “Who the heck is that???” as I still believe (at least in my mind) I’m only in my 20s.

We definitely still need you! Not sure how to feed you, but perhaps the thought will count! Many happy returns of the day.

Thanks to video evidence, the driver of the dachshund has now received at least 2 citations for blowing through the stop signs. I bet Grandma’s gonna cover the fines.

    • Kar February 5, 2024 / 11:38 am

I’m guessing that grandma is the kind of grandma who spoils you. A lot

Pretty sure that dachshund can read street signs. Also that was simply adorable.

Emma, I believe in you too! Imagine your dog getting caught in a tree because it was chasing the moon.

Dying over the dramatic cat entrance.

Baby bush babies (galagos, IIRC–will watch video later) are about as cute as baby birds. I prefer them as grownups.

I agree! And I could have used a warning about their diet.

Love the dachshund’s excitement about seeing Grandma

    Happy Birthday, Alice!

I was in Golden last June and heard about the Goldens in Golden thing then. Would love to see it in person someday, and Golden is on my list of potential places to live when I retire, so…

Some friends of mine have a nearly-blind and deaf Jack Russell terrier who doesn’t bark at the moon, but at night she can spot the lights of an airplane before her humans do. No idea how she can see them, but she absolutely believes it’s her duty to protect her humans from them, lol!

Cat’s entrance is to die for, and doggo’s reaction is hysterical. He’s like what the heck do you call that??? Do you need to be so dramatic??

Rocky the squirrel is living his best life, happy that his “mom” realized he wouldn’t do well outside and took him back. Dachshund has his own built in GPS system, so cute to see how excited he gets the closer he gets. My two haven’t tried to catch the moon, but the girl tries jump up and get the birds Had another dog that tried to do the same thing. I look at them and go, “That’s not going to work. They have wings and you don’t.”

    Squirrel yawns! 💙💙💙

  12. Kar February 5, 2024 / 4:57 pm

I had no idea that squirrels could live 10 years. Helps I guess when you have a doting family.
