Peek a boo right back. From what I can see, what a cutie. Probably not doing much this weekend as my allergies mixed with some cold symptoms have me miserable. Was supposed to meet up tomorrow with my women’s group for a museum tour but I’m bowing out. So disappointed but I’m just not up to being sociable. Hope everyone else’s weekend goes well!

Hope you’re back on your feet soon, AJ. The cats are sending healing purrs.

      Feel better soon, AJ!

What a sweet kitten! Of course, they’re all sweet, but I love peekaboo.

I’m about to join a zoom meeting for the county’s political caucus. I have no idea what to expect! It’s extra weird because our congressional districts don’t match up with county lines: my congresscritter represents just a tiny corner of this county. Are we nominating candidates for both congressional districts? So I’ll grab my knitting and learn some new things in this virtual meeting.

The rest of the weekend is about finishing or taking the next steps on various projects. The tencel scarf I wove has to be wet-finished, then I can send it to my stepmother. A sweater for my brother’s oldest child has to be blocked before I seam, add the sleeves, and then block again. Plus I’m trying to decide what to weave next–which is always fun. And we lose an hour tonight, just when I could use some extra time.

    Hugs to you all.

Well, I feel like we’re in good hands, er, paws, then.

Thanks for the clock reminder, Deb. I totally forgot (not that it matters; the clock I rely on to get up is my phone so that will reset itself…though I do have to remember to reset the timer on the light in my bedroom).

Another of The Girl’s own dogs. The tongue!
I looked at the description on her channel the other day and it says because of youtube she now grooms pets in exchange for charitable donations to local dog rescues. I know she’s mentioned doing the animals in her videos for free but I didn’t realize she does others for donations. That’s pretty cool.

And another one! This one Melfunctions, apparently.

      • DEBG March 9, 2024 / 3:33 pm

Both dogs are wonderful and hilarious. It’s great that she does grooms for donations–that’s what I do when people ask me to make something for them.

Seems she has the three little ones (I posted one last week) and a German Shepherd. Don’t know if there’s a video of the big one getting groomed.

Happy weekend. I feel like we already moved the clocks ahead.
Peeps, I’m going to start right in with a grumble and get it off my mind. I recently found out that the Doctor Who 60th anniversary trilogy is not going to be released on my region’s DVD format. Grrr.
So. Chichi of the golden eyes, you can come and watch me any time.
Quiet weekend here. Getting little things done one by one.
Little Duckie is finished her moult, and the new feathers are almost grown.
Planting seeds in starter packs today. Going to try spaghetti squash this year.
    Have a great weekend, everyone.

Surely there’ll be a digital package?

Who was your doctor? Grew up with Baker, loved Davidson but Eccleston, was just so brilliantly unhinged. Scariest when he smiled.

Capaldi and Whittaker were great but the writing let them down IMO.

      • Duckie 🐥 March 9, 2024 / 2:47 pm

Colin Baker will always be my Doctor, followed very closely by Matt Smith.
But I could lose my heart to the War Doctor, if he needed comforting…

        • Kar March 9, 2024 / 11:24 pm

Unforunately we won’t get a chance, could you imagine more John Hurt as the doctor?

          🙁

      • DEBG March 9, 2024 / 3:19 pm

David Tennant, hands down. No contest. I still haven’t watched the anniversary specials with him and Sharon Tate.

        • Kar March 9, 2024 / 5:19 pm

          Catherine Tate?

          • Debg March 9, 2024 / 9:03 pm

            Yes. Thanks for the correction.

  5. Georgiana March 9, 2024 / 12:29 pm

I would play peek a boo with this little cutie anytime.

I understand your frustration about the DVD of Doctor Who’s 60th not being released for North America, I think the BBC is being kind of a spoiled brat, they need Disney money and they want greater access to worldwide audience but at the same time they’re saying no no it’s ours and you can’t have it.

Very slow weekend here, my back is giving me trouble, it may be because the weather is kind of crazy these days going from freezing cold to Spring temperature and back in a matter of days.

I really detest the changing of the clocks twice a year, thank goodness most clock do it by themselves these days but I wish the various governments would make-up their minds an pick one, Daylight Saving or Standard I don’t care just pick one and stay with it.

OK enough grumbling for today, have a good one folks.

I’m with you on the time changes–don’t care which one we do but changing is so hard on my routines, my body, my cats.

I came nerve-rackingly close to being late for “Macbeth” this afternoon, taking my seat about two minutes before it started. This was due to a) missing the bus and having to wait for a later one, and b) not realising how drastically the theatre has been refurbished since I last visited in 2019 – I couldn’t even grasp where I was in relation to the stage and my mind went blank! Still, it was an interesting production that used a heavily cut, slightly simplified text and featured a multi-racial cast, some of whom are deaf. Duncan was played by an actor with a previous career as a scientist, and Macbeth by Ash Hunter, who played the title role in the West End production of “Hamilton”!

    • Kar March 9, 2024 / 11:23 pm

That sounds interesting. What company was this?

Been doing the Theater of War since the pandemic, thankfully went virtual since they’re all over the place, literally.

some of the talks afterwards are overlong but some very raw sharing and I like how they disucss the pieces, typically greek tragedies, in modern context.

      • Alice Shortcake March 10, 2024 / 8:13 am

Leeds Playhouse, directed by Amy Leach.

      • DEBG March 10, 2024 / 2:40 pm

Greek tragedies in today’s context! Sounds fantastic. They’re called classics for a reason.

        • Kar March 10, 2024 / 6:00 pm

          DEBG,

it’s been interesting. lots of veterens talking about the trojan and with the pandemic themes of caring for others. Immigration, etc/
