My, how time flies. Kitten Miri is six years old, and she’s had a busy year of climbing trees, chatting with birds, and learning to squeeze into boxes from master Maru.

Welcome to the weekend! Today the open thread will be held in the Red Room. Pull up a chair and say hello.

If we could have Maru back for a day, what a wonderful day that would be. Lucky for us, he lives in our hearts — and our screens — so we can see him every day.
Welcome to the weekend! Today’s guests are two cats who reader Tara O. had the pleasure to meet.
I was cat-sitting last week and took these two photos. Gingko the grey one was very sulky and wouldn’t come for food a few days.

And Pacino was super sweet, but apparently expressed his displeasure at being left along to his mommy by peeing on her pillow the morning she returned.

Reader Elizabeth G. humbly proposes that bees are cute and submits this photo as evidence. “I mean, look how fuzzy he is.”
