So my new computer came with Windows 11 and the search bar next to the start menu has a different little icon in it every day, and when you hover over it a hovertext pops up and tells you what the suggested thing to search is. Yesterday’s was an adorable little donkey for World Donkey Day. (So, that’s one way to keep me from turning that search bar off.)
How do I get an invite to the Pet Gala?
Lol, about fifteen minutes after upgrading to Windows 11 I installed StartAllBack, which let me turn the start menu into something less horrible. At the time, it was the only way to get back titles in the taskbar, disable combining items, and strip out all the goofy misfeatures.
The OS is fine, for the most part, but holy heck did they do a number on the taskbar.
I heart the donklet.
I don’t mind it so far but it bugs me that it shows my excel files separately, and also the thumbnail for Chrome shows whatever the title of the active tab is, instead of just the Chrome icon. Haven’t played around yet to see if I can change that behavior, though.
The first day I got it the icon was a bunch of bananas and a bowl; the hovertext said “search banana recipes.” 🍌🥣
what i hate is that the file folders automatically group by date and i prefer Not to have them grouped that way.

I miss when you could buy a computer with a pre-installed OS that wasn’t riddled with ads because they already got their money from the computer sale.
This kinds of bloatware can really slow down your computer, besides being really annoying.
I know some might quibble about the Dodo video, but Pine IS really into dogs, he’s not just doing it for 30 seconds of publicity.
Although I would be interested in seeing the designer pet clothes, I’m sure the outfits are over the top! I’m a person who believes pet clothes should only be worn to keep warm. My sister’s little chihuahua/mini-doberman mix always got so cold!
So glad the tiny kitty and puppy found each other. Getting thru stuff is always better with a friend!💙
Looking forward to the longer videos later. I would totally hug my little donkey if I just had one (hint hint universe). Warning: Kangaroo and Possum will melt your brain with their sweetness. Ask me how I know.

Forget the Met Gala, I wanna go to the Pet Gala! Looks a lot more fun and I can give belly rubs to the guests. Chris Pine is not just a great actor but an amazing person.
Watched the Billy and Molly movie “An Otter Love” last night. So amazing! Go watch!!!! Besides the story, I’d watch just for the stunning views themselves. It’s so pretty up there but I could never live there, too far off the beaten track for this city gal.
