I was suddenly curious what makes “slay” conjugate weird, and looked it up. Turns out it’s the usual: the word is old and Germanic.
“slay(v.)
Middle English slฤn, “strike, beat, strike so as to kill, commit murder,” from Old English slean “to smite, strike, beat,” also “to kill with a weapon, slaughter” (class VI strong verb; past tense sloh, slog, past participle slagen), from Proto-Germanic *slahanan “to hit” (source also of Old Norse and Old Frisian sla, Danish slaa, Middle Dutch slaen, Dutch slaan, Old High German slahan, German schlagen, Gothic slahan “to strike”). The Germanic words are said to be from PIE root *slak- “to strike” (source also of Middle Irish past participle slactha “struck,” slacc “sword”), but, given certain phonetic difficulties and that the only cognates are Celtic, Boutkan says the evidences “point to a North European substratum word.””
Now I need to name an RPG character Slaen Schlagen.

Google result suggests it’s an American Curl. “The American Curl is a cat characterised by its unusual ears, which curl back from the face toward the center of the back of the skull. The breed originated in Lakewood, California, due to a spontaneous mutation.”

I know that spinners who own Angora rabbits often hold the buns on their laps, to spin straight from the critter. Phoebe’s hats are gorgeous, as is Phoebe. It will take a long time, though, for her mom to collect enough fur for her business!

Thatโs what I thought, too. Sheโs gonna have to employ some extra bunnies!
The angora rabbit image gave me a chuckle๐

I desperately need the cute today. I was doing my taxes, and by the time I finished my form, I owed over $27000 on an income of $565.
