Be still my heart! Love me some baby goats, and especially the one that looks like he has a built in saddle on him. Too cute.

Off topic, SoCal got shook by a 5.2 earthquake today while I was in a meeting. Talk about a rude wakeup call, that is the largest one I’ve felt. Everyone’s ok, hubby said doggys were a little panicked but leave it to Thor to have a yeah, so what attitude, lol. So far it looks like no damage, no injuries.

      ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Glad everyone’s okay.

Earthquakes are weird. We had one several years ago with the epicenter only a couple miles from my house; it woke me up but it just felt like someone lightly knocked against my bed and gave it a tiny shake. That was only between 2 and 3. The one that happened in north Jersey last year that was 50+ miles away actually made things in my house shake for a few seconds; that one was a 4.8.

I think anything above a 3 and also depending on how deep it is, are the ones you feel. We had a few small ones yesterday in the same area that I didn’t even feel. There was one 4.0 aftershock about an hour after the initial earthquake that shook the place again. Fingers crossed that Mother Nature has gotten it out of her system and it stays quiet.

Something I do not miss about southern Cal. Glad you’re all okay and the dogs weren’t too freaked out.

            Glad you’re OK, AJ!

I was visiting in LA during the Northridge quake. THAT was dramatic. My friend’s cats disappeared from view for three days (they were somewhere in the house known only to them). My friend was lucky she wasn’t killed by something falling off the wall onto her head; if memory serves, an IKEA princess/mosquito net hanging over her bed saved her. I’ve always made sure to have nothing hanging on the wall behind the head of my bed ever since.

I’ve felt two earthquakes in NYC. One in the 1980s, and the one Allein mentions from last year. Those were peculiar and interesting, rather than scaryโ€”thank goodness!

I’ll never forget that Northridge quake. I was living 90 miles away, in Santa Barbara, and I felt it. My then-boyfriend was just a few suburbs over from Northridge. Oh, and my brother was visiting LA that week too–my mom nearly had a heart attack.

Baby goats are too cute for words. Bet they have that new goat smell too.

I want the brown one that looks like a Guinea pig.
