Awww, so nice to have a winged visitor! But I don’t think that is a robin? I have many in my yard, and they are bigger, sturdier, and a more brilliant orange on front with no white underage.
Some of those silly dogs are in such ridiculous positions! How can that be comfortable? Also, Corgi-level side-eye here!
There’s a video about the cat and kittens. In the beginning the mom is making biscuits on the blanket at the rescue while nursing💙 This face!⬇️

I think this could be a European robin, it’s different from the robins I get in my backyard in Canada.
KarMay 15, 2025 / 10:26 am
Yes but could either one of these carry a coconut?
GeorgianaMay 15, 2025 / 10:35 am
No no, you’re confusing robins with swallows. 😉🤣
KarMay 15, 2025 / 10:56 am
whenever I hear people comparing birds of the same species, different regions, I wonder about their comparative clutch and wings per minute.
Also if they can manage a sling between them.

It’s been a while since I compared house martins with plovers. I don’t remember the stats.
Duckie 🐥May 15, 2025 / 2:09 pm
Duckie is absolutely baffled by this. I assume these are quotes from something I haven’t seen/heard.
KarMay 15, 2025 / 2:21 pm
its from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
they couldn’t afford horses for the mock Arthur story so they improvised with coconut halves.
which kind of worked for a film that make fun of llamas vs moose.
waterdragon687May 15, 2025 / 2:35 pm
LOL–Great minds, Kar!
6RabbitsMay 15, 2025 / 2:52 pm
Oh that’s hysterical! 😂(Never seen this movie)
debgMay 15, 2025 / 3:20 pm
WHAT??????????
6RabbitsMay 15, 2025 / 4:02 pm
Very conservative parents. Went to a Christian college, where apparently it wasn’t a thing🤷🏼♀️. It’s only on this site that I’ve seen it mentioned—frequently! 😉
KarMay 15, 2025 / 4:02 pm
You should at least watch the opening credits.
We reference biting moose on this site because of that movie.
Ricky & Bibi's MomMay 15, 2025 / 4:35 pm
Closing credits are also excellent.

Yes, the reference is to a famous/iconic (and hilarious) scene at the very beginning of the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. See it at the link below, and yes, it’s supposed to be every bit that absurd. (I suspect real horses were not in the film’s budget, and they decided to lampshade the fact to comedic effect; this is Monty Python, after all!)
6RabbitsMay 15, 2025 / 1:20 pm
Yep, that’s the reason! Thanks so much for doing the research 👍🏼

Didn’t even notice that! Sort of occupied with the rest of the photo 😉

Needs to meet the kitty from the other day…
debgMay 15, 2025 / 10:36 am
Such wonderful links today! They’ll make for great breaks on this busy day. Love the kittens, of course.
KarMay 15, 2025 / 12:39 pm
In my mind I’m imagining a fist fight between the Animal Planet and Food Channel for a show with Seamus.
with special musical guests like Jack Jackson and Jewel who jam with his father.
taraMay 15, 2025 / 2:22 pm
I love Angus! What a sweet bull. Maybe his name should have been Ferdinand…
AJMay 15, 2025 / 3:53 pm
I need to know where this magical place is that robins come and go as they please, plus an immaculately clean house tastefully decorated that has dogs that totally ignore the bird. Almost expect a Disney princess or Mary Poppins/Julie Andrews to show up. Wherever it is, I need to book tickets there immediately! Goof ball doggos are just too much, and I laughed too hard at so many of the pictures. Glad momma kitty and kittens found a safe place to land and new homes for all. On a side note, wanting to be locked in overnight at a antique/vintage store is high on my list right after the library/book store. Just image wandering around and piling up all the goodies you want to buy.
KarMay 15, 2025 / 4:00 pm
Careful,
that could be a new show on the Travel Channel. Along with Ghost Adventures and Most Haunted Repurposed Store Fronts.
Dogs are good.
That is all.
Agreed.
