If you feel super crappy and exhausted even as you’re peeing like a racehorse, get some salty snacks, even if they’re not the healthiest.
Yes! I ate some pickles yesterday for that reason. I’ve definitely found that as I get older I’m much more easily dehydrated and gotta keep up those electrolytes. And, I agree that salt matters.
I’m almost glad for the arctic temperatures in my office today! Tomorrow’s forecast says 101 and I will be here then as well. Unfortunately on Wednesday (97!) I have two appointments in the morning (at 8:30 and 11:00) which are 45 minutes from each other, and need to go home in between so I will have to do some running around in the heat. My relatively weak AC at home will still be most welcome, I’m sure.
Wish I could send you all some Colorado coolness. We had heat advisories for Friday and Saturday, and today I’m actually COLD. It feels wonderful.

Oh boy do I nee the cute this morning! I just got off the phone with the veterinarian a few minutes ago because my husband left his pills on the counter just long enough to turn around to get a glass of water and Skye ate his vitamin D3 pill and I know it could be poison to cats.
The vet said she should be OK the dosage wasn’t too hight but to keep an eye on her but that’s it I’ve had it with that little monster!
Anybody want a cat? I’ll send her to you free of charge, even if it’s to Abu Dhabi!

Seriously Georgiana, I’m sorry for the scare. Little ding dongs – that pill couldn’t have tasted good, could it?
Skye does keep you hopping, doesn’t she? Hope everything’s okay with the little darling monster.
Me! Me! Me! I’ll take the lil imp. And I have plenty of experience with animals giving one heart failure. One dog I had, I ended up with the emergency vet and poison control on speed dial. A list of her exploits:
1) Ate roach traps
2) Knocked over hubby’s blood pressure meds and I didn’t know how many she swallowed
3) Chewed the handle off a steak knife, and I couldn’t find the blade part
4) Saw a dog outside and broke the window with her paw (while we were out for the evening, and came home to bloody pawprints)
5) Used a gopher tortoise (endangered species in FL) as a chew toy.
Somehow she survived all that but now I know where all my grey hair came from, lol.

Sorry for everyone else suffering through the heat, I know how miserable that can be. I’ve found that sometimes the only thing that rehydrates me is Gatorade.
Desert Sands and her desert kittens are just so adorable! And I love the color coordination amongst them all. Hidden cats had me howling, I had to rewind in a few places to double check what the heck was going on. And I get the lady with the velcro doggy. Thor is such a mama’s boy, has to know where I’m at all times. I literaly have not gone to the bathroom by myself in several years. Even in the middle of the night I have an escort, lol. He was so funny last night, I went out to the laundry room, when I turned around I saw his face peeking around the door to make sure where I was.
I love velcro pets. They’re almost as much fun as cats with insta-purrs.
When my parents babysit my cousin’s dog, she will follow my mom everywhere. She can get up to grab something five feet across the room and then go back to her armchair, and Gracie will follow her there and back.
We have been in the mid 90s, with humidity😠, from Friday to this Wednesday! It’s JUNE!

I’ve seen the hidden cats video before, but watched it again—twice!😉 Award to the bath cat on the faucet for arm strength! Saw a cats and baths vid the other day that was hysterical! If I find it I’ll send it to Mike.
AJ, that’s cause Gatorade has electrolytes in it, which is essential! Recommends diluting (for non-athletes) to 1/3 Gatorade to 2/3 water. Don’t drink too much, or the sodium will be too much. Because Gatorade has sugar, not helpful, it recommends Pedialyte, also. Still drink LOTS of water👍🏼
