I’m guessing they eat the skins too, but probably can’t taste the nana-y flavor unless the skin has a least a tear in it.

I think the pup is very delighted by the taste of each raspberry.
Can’t say I blame him. We had a raspberry bush in the backyard when I was a kid. Didn’t get a ton of berries but I’d get a handful here and there through the summer.
