And finally: Titanic with Chinchillas
Allein founded this shorter version starring shorter actors.
“I’m the Chin of the world!”
I’ve watched several times and the drawing of Rose cracks me up every time.
Igor is adorable. Here’s his TODAY segment. The article seems to link everything but the actual video.
I’m one of the rare person on this planet who does not love the movie Titanic, so a 5 minutes version with cute chinchillas is a step up from the original for me.
I’m sure you’re not alone. I don’t really have strong feelings about it either way. If I come across it on TV I might watch if I have nothing better to do but I wouldn’t seek it out. When it first came out, a coworker and I went to see it one day after work, and when we got out of the theater it was absolutely pouring rain. Seemed fitting…๐
You are not alone. This version is MUCH better. And cuter.
Oh, I’m in this camp too. I’ve never seen the movie. Why would I? I already know how it ends! ๐
But yes, this is pretty cute.
Exactly,
also the Leo worship and ridiculous song just grated on my nerves. Also when James Cameron got obsessed with water.
I’ve found my people! I couldn’t stand the movie and I’ve never watched it. But on the other hand I am a Titanic buff and love reading the history and stories about the ship and passengers. Must have got that from my grandfather who was probably in his early teens when the disaster happened and was living in Halifax NS when the boats came in with the bodies. I remember one of the cemeteries there has a whole section where they were buried. I also have on my reading list a book about the 6 Chinese survivors and their stories. Should be a fascinating read.

Book sounds very interesting! Tried to find it on my library app but it must be too new. Iโll keep an eye out! I have always been fascinated by the Titanic, since I was a teen, and have read many books about it.๐๐ผ๐
me too! Libby knows it exists, so I put in a request for the audio book. Sometimes I have luck with that.
Libby didn’t come up with anything by the author when I searched, but the library has the book. I had it email me the listing and then snoozed the email for a couple weeks so I can finish what I’m reading now.
If your library subscribes to Hoopla, it is included.
Just be careful with Hoopla, cos you are limited to a certain number of check-outs. Even checking and then returning in the same day counts!
My library only allows 15 loans a month, which is fine for books. But if you are watching a TV series it can add up quick! So make sure you are clear on the amount you are allowed, which is listed nowhere on Hoopla. You have to ask your library.
I’m ROFLMAOing over Igor. Maybe Jack Gunn should adopt him as a companion for his own crazy rescue dog who inspired Krypto?
Omg, the chinchilla Titanic. ๐ญ The โboatโ, the crumpled up piece of paper aka โicebergโ, the drawing, the subtitles, everything. Brilliant!
I totally agree! This will probably be the only version of the movie I could stomach watching.
This is great! I love when the chinchilla is lying on the sofa to be drawn. Got a chuckle out of me. Chinchillas always look like they have no clue about what is going on๐ Love the iceberg thru the telescope! And the obvy fake chins falling off! And the endโฆ
Igor and his description are hysterical! That catio is wow, such lucky kitties.
Once again, I feel at home with this group. I thought I was the only one who didnโt like Titanic. I can cope with this version, though. The use of the music from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the iceberg scene was hysterical.
Finally made it all the way through Bored Panda’s 40 sneaky pets. Took mini breaks at work to read a few at a time. Animals are just amazing. It’s so funny what they pick up on, what they learn from us, and what they teach each other. We are so lucky to have them.
