Finally, a Benefit of Refined Sugars

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and all. However imagine if you
added some great graphics or videos to give your posts
more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and
video clips, this website could certainly be one of the most beneficial in its
    field. Amazing blog!

That’s… that’s brilliant! I can add pictures to my articles! All these years writing for the Internet, and the secret to success was right under my nose waiting to be discovered!

But what kind of pictures? Industrial equipment? Victorian-era marital aids? Leather-upholstered dishwashers? Keynesian economists riding farm animals? Animals! That’s it! Everybody loves animals! Simple, elegant… Yes!

      IT… WILL… WORK!!!

Zoetropia

Shout-out to Megan W. for a tip and a kind note: “Thank you so much for being the bright spot in a dark world news year.” Thank you and you’re welcome.

Now for something different: Recently, the website Colossal highlighted a new form of zoetrope, the centuries-old animation toy. Rather than using a flickering light, this zoetrope consists of a single 3D-printed shape that displays animation when light hits it from the side.

(oops, this video is gone!)

If that wasn’t strange enough, this illusion featured on Gizmodo consists of cutouts outside a cylinder that appear to be inside.

Hehe, maybe we should use the contents of their spam emails to stop the spam emails from coming?

What? Where did you get that idea? It had never even occurred to me to do such a thing! I have the deepest respect for members of the Automated-American community. Some of my best friends are spambots. Honestly, I have no idea how you could have gotten any impression to the contrary.

Full Frontal Comedy

Shout-outs today go to kind and thoughtful tippers Nora, April, and “Carol and the Kitties” — which just by coincidence is also the name of my favorite Josie and the Pussycats tribute band.

And now it’s cartoon time, and Andrew Y. has sent in a naughty short subject with a brief message: Don’t be a dick about other people’s shortcomings.
