A while back, I posted a photo of a strangely shaved cat which was not well received (my apologies to all). Reader Murray C. just sent a story from The Dodo that at least explains how the cat came to be in this state. When Jin Jin’s owner dropped him off at the groomers, there was some miscommunication about the kind of cut Jin Jin should get. This led not only to the “mask” effect, but to the sobering conclusion that somewhere on this planet lurks a pet groomer who actually thought this was a good idea.
