It’s a quokka without a care in the world, found by Andrew Y.
So, you still think that the quokka is a tame, peaceful animal? Well, when performer Luke Forrester visited the quokkas of Rottnest Island, West Australia, he put on an impromptu show using some rocks and pine cones and… well, let’s just say they went for the juggler.
Why does the quokka always seem so cheerful? Because of its diet. The staple of the quokka diet are the sweet, amusing leaves of the gigglyptus tree (folius uproarius). The leaves are so potent that they can produce a “contact high” in nursing joeys.
I’ll have what she’s having, Andrew Y.
