I’ve enabled a new way to add content from Twitter, Instagram, and other popular sites to your comments. Just copy the URL of the item from your browser’s address bar, then paste it into your comment. The URL should be on a line of type by itself. Try it!
Asides
New Comment Editor
Cutetropolis has a new comment editing system, replacing the old one which had stopped working. It works a bit differently, but it does allow you to edit and delete posts within five minutes, just like before. Feel free to test and ask questions below.
Does the Site “Forget” You? Try This
Readers have noted that the comments form no longer seems to remember name, email address, and website between uses, even if the checkbox marked “Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment” is checked.
If that’s happening to you, use your browser’s function to “clear browsing data” or “clear cache” (the wording varies by browser). Look for a command to clear “cookies” and clear that data for the past two weeks or longer.
Site Forgetting People Again (fixed)
Some commenters have noticed that the site no longer remembers names and email address entered into comment forms. I have observed this myself, and this error may be related to a recent update to WordPress that happened overnight. I’ll see what I can do about that, but in the meantime, sorry for any inconvenience. This is fixed now.
Another user said that the system for editing comments was not working. I haven’t been able to reproduce that error, and the system appears to be working correctly for me.
