Readers have noted that the comments form no longer seems to remember name, email address, and website between uses, even if the checkbox marked “Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment” is checked.

If that’s happening to you, use your browser’s function to “clear browsing data” or “clear cache” (the wording varies by browser). Look for a command to clear “cookies” and clear that data for the past two weeks or longer.

    All sites forget us, and sometimes vice versa. It’s just reminder of the ephemeral nature of our communications.

    On the bright side, all the dumb things we may have said can’t haunt or mock us in the future. It’s pretty much the only good thing about forgetting, saving face.

    It’s been forgetting my info, and I’m on a Mac. I clear the browsing history daily. Let’s see if this works…

      Nope – it deleted my information. But at least I have Autofill, for example I just type ‘Sm’ and Smartypants comes up.
