“Hello, is this Groom LakeΒ Puppy Farm? It’s about the dog we adopted a few months ago. The problem? Well, to start with, the green fur that you insisted was just a temporary skin condition hasn’t gone away yet. And his eyes don’t look normal. And lately he just sits the back yard all night staring at the sky, like he’s looking for something. But the weirdest thing is, last night he howledΒ and it sounded like Prepare your souls for Argroth, the world-eater! Should we be concerned about this?”
Via Imgur.
It is a good thing my coworker is in Portugal and I am all alone in my aisle.
In Portugal? Really? On business or vacation?
Vacation; her family is there (she’s from Barcelos). Her first time back in seven years. (Which means three weeks of having my aisle all to myself…actually two weeks and two days, since I’m off most of the last week of July myself).
I’m getting my towel! I Won’t Panic! But I’m outta here! Grabs pocketbook and cat!
Hilarious pic!
42 thumbs up! π
They should call the men in black or an exorcist or maybe the Muppet show!
π
It’s not easy being green.
At least!
This immediately made me think of Hyperbole and a Half: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.ca/
That was fantastic, Michelle! Thanks for the linky.
Hysterical!?
Oh, Oh, Oh, I LOVE this blog! This is my favorite post: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/02/boyfriend-doesnt-have-ebola-probably.html
(I’m too technology-challenged to find the one about the Simple Dog turning into a Wolf) π
And this one, about the infamous Alot creature: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html π π π
Is it this one?

Groom Lake puppy farm I just got it! π π
I blame old age and the heat.
P.S. is the puppy called Paul by any chance?
Ok, I’ll admit – don’t get the reference to Groom Lake Puppy Farm. But anyways I really think what the poor doggy is saying is:
GET ME OUT OF THIS SILLY COSTUME!!!!!!
Groom Lake is a US military test site located nearby the legendary Area 51.
I’ll admit, I had to google it, and didn’t think to do so until I saw Gigi’s comment.
Per the all-knowing Wikipedia: Groom Lake is a salt flat in Nevada used for runways of the Nellis Bombing Range Test Site airport (KXTA). It is located immediately north of the Area 51 USAF installation.
Edit: Mike posted while I was googling, apparently.
Oh okay, that explains a lot then. I was thinking more along the lines of Peanuts and the Daisy Hill puppy farm.
Ah’m the rootinest, tootinest, fastest Googleingest hombre in this heyar Interweb!
I blame work. They expect me to do work! Can you believe that?
? I can never do well googling at work cos most things are blocked (school). Very frustrating. But I’d still be slower than NTMTOM!
And as for the Paul reference, it’s the title of a funny movie where 2 English nerds meet an alien naned Paul mear Area 51
Any idea what the title of this movie might be? Sounds like my cup of tea!
Of course I missed the edit window. But I googled “movie where 2 English nerds meet an alien named Paul near Area 51” and lo and behold, discovered that the movie is, quite originally, named “Paul.” And it does look funny!
That sounds fun, Gigi, I will watch “Paul” this weekend! π
If you like their kind of very British humor, check out the other movies Simon Peeg and Nick Frost made, Shaun of the dead, Hot Fuzz and World’s End although they are all a little more violent than Paul but nothing hardcore
Oh, I LOVE British humor (humour), the more British, the better! π Thanks for the suggestions!
You know that monster under your bed when you where a kid ..
