Ooh, this would certainly get me to eat more veggies. Or at least have more veggies in my fridge.

Having a vegetarian for a pet has had that effect on me. I buy chopped kale in the bag, and the hearts of Romaine lettuce in the three-packs, and besides serving it to Ani I’m also having more salads.

      • allein ? March 22, 2018 / 12:26 pm

Hmm…maybe I need a bunny or a peeg. I go through phases where I eat a lot of salads and then start getting lazy and then go back (in a lazy phase right now). I could do better with the choice of dressing but I try not to use too much and I figure if it makes me eat more veggies it can’t be all bad, right? (Right?)

I’m on vacation next week and my goal is to get my kitchen organized.

      • Murray C March 22, 2018 / 12:35 pm

Same here. I tend to have stuff around that I use in cooking more.

I am sick – again! I just have a cold but I feel like my head is in a gold fish bowl.

I love peegs – they are supposedly good companions for rabbits, too – no territorial issues – I long for one but as hubby says we have enough furry anchors. It’s so hard to get away. The lengths I have to go to for bunny care are ridiculous – taking a roll of vinyl for flooring, taking a pen, plus all their food, hay, bowls. But I like knowing they’re with someone who knows bunnies and has experience in dealing with them if they get sick. I do wish I could leave them in situ but I don’t know anyone other than a paid someone who would come to the house. Budget a wee bit tight for that!

I hope you get better soon, Murray!

          • Murray C March 22, 2018 / 4:53 pm

Thanks! I’m feeling a bit better.?

            • fkaWaldenPond March 22, 2018 / 8:17 pm

Hey Murray, I was having the stuck in the revolving door cold thing all January and February. Hang in there!

              • Murray C March 22, 2018 / 8:51 pm

Will do! I am feeling better tonight. This is much easier than the last thing I had. Thanks.

              • Murray C March 22, 2018 / 9:02 pm

And I neglected to say – how are you now?โ˜บ๏ธ

                • fkaWaldenPond March 22, 2018 / 10:35 pm

I am only ok; I am really missing Pie. It is hard as he was my ‘companion’ for years. I am simply trying my best to feel it, acknowledge it and move with the whole grieving, awful process. I am focusing on appreciating everyday small things, being grateful; and really trying not to eat too much ‘comfort’ food– but still doing my walking and morning stretching. Mind you though, despite missing him terribly–I do not miss the allergies, cat hair and I am finally sleeping throughout the entire night– so heck, those are good things! ๐Ÿ™‚

How is Ani doing? May we please see a picture of her soon?

  2. Faye March 22, 2018 / 12:08 pm

Sign me up Mike. But the romaine lettuce never makes it!

  4. birdlady26 March 22, 2018 / 1:06 pm

Is the t-shirt describing the peegs or the human?

    • Duckie ? March 22, 2018 / 1:08 pm

      Yes.
Are Guinea peegs litter box trainable?

      • Murray C March 22, 2018 / 7:13 pm

I have a guinea pig litter scoop – I use it to clean out the hair from my rabbits’ water – we had a discussion about this a little while back.

And I keep hearing in my head “I hear the Peegies softly trotting, Trotting ‘cross my bedroom floor. Quoth one Peegie, “Feed us more”.

  5. TinaK March 22, 2018 / 1:24 pm

Hello, Peeg Express? Um, yeah, my order arrived somewhat damaged and incomplete…

  8. ffleur2 March 22, 2018 / 2:48 pm

    The trot-trot-trot kills me!
And adorably cute when they stand on their tiny back legs to reach up to their person for the carrot.

    • Smartypants March 22, 2018 / 3:18 pm

Yes, the trotting is like guinea-pig dressage – too cute!

  9. Gigi The cat lady March 22, 2018 / 4:41 pm

I wonder where they are all going with their bounty, is there a designated carrot eating aria where they have to go?

    • Amy March 22, 2018 / 5:01 pm

Carrot eating aria: “Eat the carrots! Eat the carrots!” to the tune of “K*ll the wabbit!” from Bugs Bunny.

      • Gigi The cat lady March 22, 2018 / 8:41 pm

That was supposed to read carrot eating โ€œareaโ€ but for once Iโ€™m glad of the autocorrect change.
        Bravo Amy. LOL!!

  10. julie March 22, 2018 / 5:08 pm

I’m with you. The trotting! I want to see the carrot-eating area.

      • julie March 22, 2018 / 6:52 pm

I love the sound the little feetsies make on the carpet. And I really feel like I can hear a faint “enh”…. in the background.

  11. JenDeyan March 22, 2018 / 7:05 pm

Peegs: *daintily trotting* I has ma carrot! I has ma carrot!

  12. Duckie ? March 22, 2018 / 11:21 pm

I read up on Guinea pig training, and they were talking about making fleece forests for them. One of the pictures looked like a capybara, and I had this sudden vision of a capybara in fleece.
