Last night I was listening to the latest episode of the Ologies podcast, “Scatology.” Yes, poop. And they talked about wombat poop cubes! (Actually, it was a question from a Patreon patron and the ‘ologist didn’t even know about it!)
Also, this wombat has an adorable smile.
I think I prefer the fuzzy, cuddly model—handsome though the Mark II be.
I agree, I prefer the fuzzy, wobbley, squatty model of Wombats. They don’t need to be improved. I can think of other creatures that could use improvements.

Mike, I’m having problems sending you a video of Fiona. I’ve tried 3 times and nothing happens. It’s not even bouncing back. I use the ‘submission’ link to send it so I don’t know what to try next. Anyone else having this problem? HELP!!

You know I had to google that. I did not find one.
But I did find this.
Interesting note – wombats are one of the few animals to do cube shaped poos. The shape results from the wombat’s diet and the very long time it takes to digest its food which means the poo is highly compacted. This comes in handy for the wombat as they use their poo to mark their territory and the cube shape means it can be placed on logs and rocks without rolling away.
