Waddle We Do, Batman?

Another peaceful day in Gotham City… but what’s this? Trouble is afoot at Gotham Prison, where even now that foul feathered fiend, The Penguin, stages a daring jailbreak to spring his henchmen from the coop! Who will track down the marauding mooks and return them to their cages?

A foiled jailbreak at Odense Zoo in Denmark. Via Metro.

Mike, are you Of A Certain Age (as we used to say), or did you check out those old Batman TV shows on HuluTube or whatever the whippersnappers are using?

When I first watched “Batman” on TV, I was too young to appreciate the true worth of one Julie Newmar. What a fool I was.

I was of an age to greatly appreciate all of Julie Newmar’s attributes! I still think she was the best Cat Woman. Sigh! Bam! Pow!

They look like teeny tiny marauding Nuns to me. Maybe they were trying to sneak back into the Convent without Sister Superior finding out that they got tickets to the Ice Capades featuring The Singing Nun. (Non Baby Boomers Can go Google her.)

I loved that show! But I could never understand if she could fly why she was not flying around the word having fun…instead of doing good deeds. 😀

You know, out of all the “people with superpowers” TV shows of the ’60’s – I’d have to say that one was the strangest. Sally Field made it work! But it was such a bizarre concept. A flying nun, think about it. And then I went to Catholic school, not as much fun!

A two-fer for me. I love penguins and I love the word afoot! 🙂
