Purchasers of AbsorbAll stain-resistant carpeting from Magic Carpet Inc. manufactured between 2012 and 2014 are advised to remove and replace it immediately. While the carpeting is designed to absorb and conceal small stains, it has also been known to absorb and conceal small pets.

Going to gently rake my carpet to see if any cute fluffies appear.
I have a feeling that I would only come up with dust bunnies and hair (not hare). :-/
Pretty sure this carpet could make tasty bites that fall on it disappear, very handy 😉
Here’s something I’ve noticed…when I get an email notification of a new comment, it quotes the comment that it is in reply to. When it’s just in reply to the post (not to another commenter), the quoted text is usually just one line that is different from what is actually in the post. (On this one it was “If your home uses AbsorbAll carpeting, be aware that it may absorb pets.”) So it got me wondering if there is some alternate text that NTMTOM puts in somewhere behind the scenes that is used for that purpose.
You’re correct. That’s an article summary that I write for virtually every article. Without it, you might instead see the first few sentences of the article. The summary appears in other places too, such as on Facebook.
That bit is part of the reason I like to subscribe to the comments. 😉
I don’t usually see your posts on FB unless they pop up in my feed, and since I don’t generally seek them out, FB doesn’t learn that I want to see them. (Though why it thinks I want to see some of the crap it shows me I have no clue.)
I check the boxes to get notified by email of new posts and stuff I comment on, but I never have received a notification. I have received automated responses from NTMTOM when I’ve submitted something, though. Sadness.
Do you get a message asking to confirm that you want to follow the post? Are you sure your address in the email box is right? Check your spam folder? Um…can’t think of anything else…
Never got a confirmation message and nothing in spam folder and email is correct. I’m stymied.
But thank you for the suggestions, Allien?
Maybe the rabbits are eating them?
LOL!! When I read the line about the carpet absorbing pets I immediately thought about the old movie The Creeping Terror also known to fans of ols movies as The Carpet Monster.
Ha! I know this movie from Mystery Science Theater! Very fun. That scene where the lady helps the monster eat her by hooching herself down its throat is probably a key early example of Early Science Fiction Method Acting.
Cheesy props at their best.
That is awesome – I can just picture half a dozen crew underneath, trying to wiggle in unison!
I don’t know if this is Matchink or Morphin’. Cute puppy though, reminds me of my old apricot poodle, Rusty.
The really worrisome thing is that in the wild, Magic Absorbing Carpets look very similar to the Puppi-Gro Instapet, a beneficial product that is guaranteed to fill your home with curly-tailed snipsters within six months. Use only as directed. Side-effects may include pee stains.
Does Puppy-Gro Instapet come in other colors and textures? I wonder if they also make a Kitty-Gro Instapet, would love a grey-striped carpet for the bedroom and an orange-and-cream striped one for the living room.
For an extra fee, you can get a hand-knotted Afghan carpet.
Looks like you’ve got a Carpetdoodle infestation.
LOVE THIS!!!
I’m wondering whether the carpet was purchased to match the pup or vice versa.
Would be afraid I’d not see her and step on her! She’d need a bell, or a big bow on her head for safety!
