Maybe Duke should run for President, he has more political experience than Trump having been mayor 3 times and unlike Hillary, no one would question his trustworthiness. ๐Ÿ˜€

I agree and I’d vote for him!

How did the little kitten get behind that wall? Poor thing looked in bad shape. Hope it got the care it needed.

    • Not That Mike The Other Mike August 24, 2016 / 11:35 am

It did. The creator of the source video on YouTube posted many videos of the kitten, from getting a bath and hand-feeding, to settling in with the other household cats.

Hope they made sure he was the only one in there…

        Awwwwww…..thank you for the update.

    • ^oo^ August 24, 2016 / 12:35 pm

      I was sure they’d name him Wally…

I live in an apartment building built in the 1920s. One day, years ago, the super got a call from a tenant in the basement apartment, saying he heard meowing in the wall. They tore open the wall and rescued a full-grown cat.

Apparently the cat’s owner had taken it up on the roof for a walk and the cat had fallen down an old disused chimney, from when stoves had been wood- or coal-burning. Cat fell 15 floors to the basement, and was unhurt but pretty cranky. The owner had not been able to figure out where it went.

Unfortunate thread jack. People, please pray/send good supportive thoughts my way. My hubby walked into a wasps nest this morning, and was apparently stung several hundred times. He is at the hospital right now, and will be coming home soon. I am frightened. He is my everything.

    • Phred's Mom August 24, 2016 / 1:13 pm

How scary! Let us know his condition.

    • allein ? August 24, 2016 / 1:13 pm

      Ouch! Hope he’s okay!

    • dubravkamcvmd August 24, 2016 / 1:13 pm

I’m so sorry. If they’re sending him home from the hospital I hope that means he’s not part of that small percent of people who have dangerous reactions to wasp stings. Very frightening for you both, and painful for him.

    • Catwhisperer August 24, 2016 / 1:30 pm

Oh my gosh! I hope he’s not in danger, and that his pain is manageable.

    • debg August 24, 2016 / 1:32 pm

Duckie, sending healing energy and positive thoughts your way.

    • Gigi the cat lady August 24, 2016 / 1:46 pm

Sending positive thoughts your way “”big hugg””

    • Bookmonstercats August 24, 2016 / 3:34 pm

Oh dear. I can’t even imagine how that is. Sending prayers X

    • Murray C. August 24, 2016 / 5:04 pm

My gosh, Duckie, I am so horrified and saddened by what you must be going through!!! Please know that we’ll be thinking of you and sending uplifting thoughts your way. I wish we could enfold you in a gigantic hug.

PS, I’m a bit behind the curve – glad to hear the news seems good. Whew!

  5. Ricky's Mom August 24, 2016 / 1:37 pm

Best wishes to you and yours, Duckie! Fingers and toes crossed.

  6. Mikael August 24, 2016 / 1:59 pm

Being a devout dog person as long as I can remember (Duke is awesome!), I have to say that is one gorgeous Bengal kitty.

  7. Luv Bunny August 24, 2016 / 2:15 pm

Duckie, just knowing your husband is coming home, seems to be good news for both of you. He maybe a bit swollen and sore but hopefully no long term effects. My prayers for you and him.

  8. Duckie ? August 24, 2016 / 3:02 pm

Update: hubby home and sitting in cool baking soda water. Not as many stings as originally thought; less than a hundred (funny how that can be good news). Much swelling all over, lots of lumps. His sense of humour is still strong, so I’m somewhat optimistic. No allergies, thank God. Thank you all for good thoughts and prayers.

    • debg August 24, 2016 / 3:05 pm

What a relief, Duckie! Still sending good thoughts your way, for a speedy and itch-free recovery.

Also, that guy with the rabbits was totally asking for it.

      • Murray C. August 24, 2016 / 5:09 pm

I expected the pile of bunnies to disband and there’s be nothing left but those two buckets. And maybe a pile of chewed up clothes.

So…a bee emoji would be in poor taste, no?

      ?

    • LunaChickFringe August 24, 2016 / 3:50 pm

Here is hoping he will feel better very soon! So glad to hear that it was not as bad as you initially thought.

    • fkaWaldenPond August 24, 2016 / 8:46 pm

Relieved to read he will be ok and his sense of humour wasn’t stung!

    • SAA1451 August 24, 2016 / 9:09 pm

      Duckie
These are the moments when I am glad I have to wait until I get home to read these posts. I am really glad your Hubby seems to be okay.

    • 6rabbits August 24, 2016 / 11:28 pm

So glad things are looking better, Duckie! Sending good thoughts!

    A wombat for wednesday.

    • Murray C. August 24, 2016 / 5:07 pm

So cute – and such an appropriate song – I love it. Of course, the bashful wombat steals the show.

  10. Murray C. August 24, 2016 / 5:10 pm

And that kitten – how amazing that it ended up where it did, and that the people managed to find it! I am also surprised that it’s a calico male – rather unusual, isn’t it?

  11. Duckie ? August 24, 2016 / 5:59 pm

I want that cat. He is absolutely gorgeous!
I had a mental Alice-in-Wonderland moment, thinking about all the guards dressed as herring. I wonder if there might be an image somewhere…

    • Murray C. August 24, 2016 / 6:09 pm

Duckie – it’s so nice to think of your having an Alice In Wonderland moment, given all you and your hubby have been through today.

    • Faye August 25, 2016 / 8:35 am

Oh my Duckie! Sending special tender hugs to your husband.

I was stung by wasps as a kid one summer. Very painful. The areas where I was bitten would turn blue from cold and hurt for months afterward. Not fun.
